Got the app for the ability to get alerts when wind speed exceeds a certain value so I can take down a gazebo I have up semi-permanently. Does exactly what was asked for. Another selling point for me was that my usage data is not linked to me
Absolutely great forecasting, I rely on it as my go to, have recommended it to quite a few people and never had any complaints. I’m not invested or associated. Spend the few bucks extra and get the upgrade to pro, unlocks a bunch of useful stuff.

I use this app for wind and tide when droning, especially over water. Love it!
Excellent program. Use Auckland Airport mainly and find the predicted wind more or less accurate to the 3 hour forecasts. Have used it for 4 years now. Best weather forcast app on the web. I fly model planes, SO Wind is important : the app is very capable of predicting a wind change to the hour .
Wind info for New Zealand / Cook Islands only available every 3 hours instead of hourly as promised. Only benefit paying for pro is the ads have disappeared
Can't work out the difference. Paid to upgrade from the free version to Pro and dont see any benefit to it. My advice. Stay on the free one. It's awesome !
Wir brauchen den Windfinder, wenn wir nach Helgoland fahren. Dabei konnten wir uns immer auf die Prognose verlassen.
Die App habe ich vor vielen Jahren gekauft und wegen der miserablen und ungenauen Vorhersagen wieder gelöscht. Ab und zu installiere ich sie wieder, weil die Entwickler einem anderen Rezensenten vor 6 (!) Jahren mal geantwortet haben, dass es „zukünftig“ mehr Vorhersagemodelle geben würde. Seitdem hat sich nichts geändert. GFS ist und bleibt ein globales Modell mit allen Vor- und Nachteilen. Und was ist Superforecast? Icon D2, Arome, KNMI oder was auch immer, es passt leider zu selten. Der gute alte Windguru macht das tausende Male besser, vor allem wird da immer noch mal was Neues eingepflegt. Schade, ursprünglich hatte der Windfinder das Potenzial, die beste Wind- und Wetterapp zu werden.
Immer wieder nützlich. Und: 💨 🏄♂️ 60% Preiserhöhung im Jahresabo? Wow! Und das ohne tatsächliche Gegenleistung. Das ist schon traurig.
