Winix Smart Reviews

Needs work and major developer change out

TDC0430 on

United States

Cumbersome to change router wifi info. Has zero data on inside air quality. Just a number. Lame user interface. The most difficult, non user friendly set up! Pitiful app!

Horrible zero star app

dlg0112 on

United States

Absolutely the worse app. Too difficult to add WiFi. Cluttered and confusing process. Winix products are not user friendly.

I had out-of-control allergies

 Elizabeth on

United States

My Winix Smart air purifier has helped my allergies immensely! I highly recommend!

Automatically Deregisters Devices

reviews_nickname486468 on

United States

"You haven't logged in recently enough so we have deregistered all of your devices." Excuse me? How active am I required to be to maintain a schedule on my air purifiers? How much paint were you guys sniffing when you came up with that feature? Seems likely to be a severe overstep into invading privacy, a ploy for sales, and/or some planned obsolescence or tampering with already purchased products. Can't think of any good reason for users to have this as a "feature". Really need to get fewer connected devices in the future and won't be purchasing from this company again.

Fluctuation between device & app

D-R.K on

United States

Many days of functional app on WiFi controlling the device (C610), but frequent delay or needing to reset WiFi on the C610.

Privacy overreach

Dumb Apps Reviewed on

United States

I was reluctant to hook my air purifier up to the internet but wanted to unlock some of the monitoring features. Fine. There is ZERO reason why Winix needs to know my precise location. It’s not possible to setup with lesser permissions. These companies need to be criticized for their data overreach.

Too many request error

Apple_user6936 on

United States

Open this app today on December 11, 2024 and could not login. Try one time to request forgotten password, received message of “too many request.” How can my first request be too many? What is wrong with this app?

Too much advertising

PDarrough on

United States

The app functions well, but it displays advertisements every time you launch it. To access the control modes, you must close the advertisement. This is quite inconvenient.

corrupted updates

iPhone newbie22 on

United States

this app worked fine for two years but with the latest updates. It disconnected the unit in my vacation home. Now I have to go back and reconnect the unit. Stupid Stupid Stupid

Trash app

Maniac7373 on

United States

This app “deregistered” all four of my winix devices. What kind of lazy developer does this???
