Just can’t seam to get pass it. I’ll often times put the game down and remember why I’ve put it down. The grind for gold and upgrades are by far the most frustrating thing developers could do to this game. Pretty much have ruined the whole shot em up genre by replacing it with buy em up. The adds to buy packs and ships at $40 buks is not only dumb is insane. I might as well buy a game on a console for that price. Shame on the developers for also making it that these ships aren’t rewarded in game. I can rant about how expensive this game can be and how much time I’ve spend on it. I’ll think I’ll put it down and leave it down for good. Not only that but gold and the gems you use to level up your planes amongst other items were all drastically reduced in availability when trying to grind for them in the levels without paying… leaving a player forced with either grinding for hours, days, and even weeks… or forking up $$ to get it through the shop. Don’t get me wrong - if they were to check my account, I am in the top ten power of all players and I guarantee at very least the top ten of their players in how much real world $$ has been spent on their game. I don’t even want to think about it, but I know if they look it up they can see how much they will be losing. I have no problem paying for a game that does it right - not for devs that come out with an update that literally provides no content other than to “rebalance” the payouts of the in game currency. I have let both of my monthly vip cards lapse and will not be spending another dime on the game. I was very into it and had planned to grind away and complete it, however, the latest update is a very clear cash grab and shift of priorities for the devs. Levels I used to clear easily as part of my daily grind are now much harder and sometimes unbeatable with the same equipment I had pre-update. Even after a few upgrades the same levels are still very difficult. It seems as though they have buffed all the enemies. Also, there used to be a few optional ads, but now ads are EVERYWHERE and unavoidable to complete daily tasks. Also, they have increased the amount of energy it takes for every mode forcing you to buy energy to play or spend gems. I can’t in good conscience recommend this game as the devs took a good, solid game and turned it into a blatant cash grab. I was willing to overlook the little issues (unintelligible descriptions in the game, lack of help resources, botched English translations, etc.) but now it’s just too much. I’ll be deleting the game once they stop giving extra energy in the daily mailbox. Going from PC (or console) and an arcade stick to a small phone screen and ones fingy isn't especially fun. Some mobile shmups are alright and this is one of them. The presentation is nice; while the backgrounds are repetitive with no real set pieces, they look clean and pleasant. Ship design is pleasing, overall, as are the effects and the character designs. Gameplay is also quite fun! As a plain shmup, it does a lot of things correctly. The speed feels right for a mobile game. The bullet patterns range from bog standard to rather interesting. Enemy design is pretty cool, too, with lots of variation in both appearance and attacks. The RPG elements are also very fun. I like being able to equip my ship and to grow and progress. Pausing gameplay every few seconds to level up is annoying; I'd much rather that be done between missions. While there are many shmup fans who would say that the inclusion of this type of progression isn't especially shmuppy, it's still nice. The problem is monetization. I would love, love, love to see a game like this without all the mobile nonsense. I realize this game was made by a studio of real developers who have real financial needs, but in general I have a distaste for all the ads, the various and confusing currencies, screen after screen of game passes and dailies and login bonuses that seem to be mostly meant to confuse rather than help. Especially when you lose and the game teases you by letting you try out one of the better (and more expensive) ships, it starts to feel a bit manipulative. And while I haven't played for an especially long time, I don't see a way to earn bigger and better ships in a reasonable amount of time without paying. So the core gameplay is good if you like STGs, but the monetization is nightmarish. It’s chances are set to increase 100% each time you open a guaranteed epic and you don’t receive your selected item. I’ve opened it five times now and the chances haven’t changed. Smooth gameplay, graphics, and sound. Plenty of challenges and ways to get coins, hand, upgrades, etc. One complaint though is the power ups selection. This game offers “random” power ups as you collect gems for defeating enemies during waves/rounds. Some power ups are quite useful - vital even - for advancing through chapters, while others, not so much. Some of these vital ones are wingman assistance, blade light, and reflection shield. I’ve noticed that when on a stage that hasn’t been completed, the “random” power ups become a lot less “random”, insofar as; the aforementioned power ups almost never show up. This forces one to have to either, level up and upgrade the fighter (at least three times, or more), or purchase new fighters, upgraded, etc. This does not happen on stages that have already been completed. As a matter of fact: it seems as though the most useful ones “randomly” pop up on previously defeated stages in excess. For example: I’m on stage 15, and rarely, if ever see at least one of the power ups mentioned (and there are more), but they seem to appear at almost every opportunity on all the previously completed ones. It doesn’t completely ruin the game for me, yet it is rather frustrating. One WILL NOT advance through the latter stages without getting a new fighter with as many upgrades as possible AND good combinations of power ups... in other words... the power ups provided intermittently throughout the stages are paramount... if you want get far in the game. Still great game overall. So I’ve reached chapter 32 wave 14 and cannot go any further and in spite of having the Star Devourer @ 90 with other equipment that is very much upgraded. Interestingly not only cannot I not go any further in Chapter 32 but I am also having difficulties from Chapters 26 to 32. Capter 26 was a previous sticking point and I had to do a lot of upgrading and playing(grinding) to get resources to finally pass it. That means that the equipment that I used to pass it has been upgraded several times and yet with the same equipment at higher power levels when I play from Chapter 26 to 32 it’s like I have nothing. So I was able to catch those old free to play or small whales who played for 1 year in less than 2 months. Now they are adding exclusive very powerful equipment that you can only acquire from the battle pass, and you have to keep buy every 2 weeks when it resets to upgrade its tier. Also they just added a bunch of new items you can only acquire from chests that you can open with keys included in packages or using in-app currencies that you buy with cash. I see lots of players complain in their FB page, group, and discord, but I disagree with this just like this game's developers. Because this game has a daily PVP event, and I can absolutely crush everyone with my wallet. I don't have skills, but I can feel myself like a king in this game by spending about $3,000 a month. You may download and try, but be ready to get crushed by p2w players that are waiting you to join PVP. You may say you will skip, but you can't avoid since this is the only source where you can acquire certain equipment parts and shards. The only complain that I have is cheaters. There are absolutely full of cheaters, and players have to report one by one on discord and FB group page to ask devs to remove them. No matter how much I P2W, I can't beat cheaters because they instantly get best equips in day 1 every update. Imagine I spent $100,000, and lose to $0 spent cheaters in this Pay To Win game. Do device ban on cheaters, otherwise, I see they comeback with new acc with very similar nickname. -- 🤣A+😂, 2021-08-13 ### ****- "7 day login broken" First of all, really well done game. My two issues are this: 1) I’m not able to finish the 7 day login period because the button won’t function. Sure, it registers that it’s been pressed, but after that the function just stops. 2) Only being able one event stage once per day.
