## Wipr 2 Description
Wipr blocks ads, popups, trackers, cookie warnings, and other nasty things that make the web slow and ugly.

Websites in Safari will look clean, load fast, and stop invisibly tracking you. You’ll notice significant improvements to your battery life and data usage. Setup is a snap.

The Filtr add-on extends Wipr’s blocking to all apps on your device. It acts at the network level, but unlike a VPN, it can access none of your data, and can be used in conjunction with VPNs, iCloud Private Relay, and custom DNS.

Wipr’s blocklist is updated twice a week automatically, and has enhanced versions for the following languages: Bosnian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Macedonian, Malay, Montenegrin, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese.

Wipr is a universal app: install it on all your devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Vision Pro) with a single purchase. It’s fully accessible with VoiceOver, Voice Control, and more. Dark, Tinted, and Clear icon variants are included. Family Sharing is supported.

Because it’s developed by a single independent developer and 100% funded by its users, Wipr only answers to you: no one can pay to have their ads unblocked, and there are no “acceptable ads”.

With Wipr (Legacy), Kaylee set high expectations for a content blocker — but with Wipr 2, she has not only met but exceeded them. As the title suggests, this is the best content blocker on the entire App Store!

Wipr 2 läuft noch besser als Wipr 1. Hält viel lästiges Zeug fern und macht Safari gut benutzbar. Besonders beim Streamen von Videos sehr nützlich. Fairer Preis, nutze es auf allen iOS Geräten.

Hab die letzten Jahre einige Ad Blocker ausprobiert und musste immer wieder feststellen, dass nach einer gewissen Zeit einige Webseiten sich nur noch bei ausgeschaltetem Ad Blocker richtig öffnen ließen.
Auch die zugehörigen Apps waren oft mal zu unübersichtlich und mit Funktionen überladen.

Bis jetzt kann ich nur positives berichten. Die App ist schlicht und übersichtlich, lässt sich auf all seinen Geräten runterladen, verbraucht kaum Speicher und zum Wichtigsten - die Werbung wird zuverlässig ausgeblendet.

Bleibt zu hoffen, dass diese App auch die nächsten Jahre stets weiter mit Updates versorgt wird!

Sollte „Hypr“ heißen, weil es hier so einen Hype erfährt. Die von mir genutzten Webseiten können (auch mit Wipr Extra) nur teilweise im Zaum gehalten werden, die Versprechungen dieser Safari-Erweiterung werden aus meiner Sicht nur zu ca. 50% erfüllt. Besser als nichts, aber die Begeisterungsstürme bezüglich dieser App in Form von Rezensionen hier im App Store kann ich wirklich nicht so ganz nachvollziehen…
