Hands down the best extension for Safari. Without it, Safari is incomplete.

I personally like to stagger my blocking into stages, with a “set & forget” blocklist at DNS, VPN or router level (usually something like OISD) and then adding a stronger layer in Safari via content blocking extensions. That way, if my Safari blocking ends up being too aggressive for a certain website, I can just disable the extension for that particular page and still have decent filtering underneath it. Wipr doesn’t quite enable me to achieve that at the moment since it is not as merciless as I’d like. An additional optional toggle for a more aggressive setting in Safari’s extensions control — one that blocks social media companies and their associated embeds and share buttons, for certified antisocial folk like myself — would be highly appreciated. An element picker or user curated allow/deny lists would also be welcome, but I’d understand if you (developer) prefer to avoid taking that route in order maintain the K.I.S.S mantra. As a former filterlist contributor, I know how draining it can get, and that’s before we get into the perpetual hair-pulling involved dealing with Youtube and its constant attempts to thwart ad-blockers. You still get the full 5 star rating. Wipr in its current form is a 4 star app by my standards, but you earned the fifth one for not jumping onto the awful subscription racketeering bandwagon like so many self proclaimed “indie” developers these days. It does what it sets out to do, is updated frequently, and all without dodgy VPN weirdness or subscriptions. Who could ask for anything more?

I have tried them all. All the blockers. This one is the best, hands down.

This is the best most affordable add blocker. Get it now before it becomes a subscription based app. But also don’t forget to support the creator! Solid all round.

I've been using multiple ad blockers over the years, but after just a few minutes I'd say this is the best I've ever used. And for the developer, I suggest adding "ad blocker" to the end of the title so it's easier to find when searching.

I purchased this app specifically to use with Instagram inside of Safari. It does not block any ads whatsoever on Instagram.

Does not work with iPad os in safari. Get a black screen with spinning wheel for about 10 seconds and then the video. No ad but black screen for a bit.
