• This is the legacy version of Wipr, intended only for users of older versions of iOS and macOS.
• Wipr 2 is now available, and it is strongly recommended for all users running at least iOS 17 or macOS 14 Sonoma. Search for “Wipr 2” in the App Store or find it in the “More by” section below!
Wipr blocks all ads, trackers, cryptocurrency miners, EU cookie and GDPR notices, and other annoyances, so you can focus on the content that matters to you.
It works in Safari and all apps that use Safari to display web pages.
• Time, Data, and Battery Saver
Web pages load a lot faster with Wipr, and much less needs to be downloaded. Your mobile devices will love this.
• Private
Wipr prevents countless trackers from invading your privacy. Wipr itself cannot, nor wants to, know what you do on the web.
• Fast
By using a new technology called Content Blocking Extensions, Wipr can do its job without slowing down Safari at all.
• Up-to-date
Wipr's blocklist is updated twice a week to keep up with the ever-changing web.
• Honest
No one can pay to unblock ads. There are no "acceptable ads". Wipr only answers to you.
• Global

▪️ Question to the developer: should version 1 be uninstalled before installing version 2? ▪️Vorher: Endlich kein DSGVO Cookie Quatsch mehr. Werbung wird auch geblockt. Läuft bei mir auch auf dem Mac. Bin bis jetzt zufrieden :)
Adguard is better and free
Wipr doesnt work too well and instead of bringing updates the dev exit-scams and brings out wipr 2. Just use adguard, its better and free
Blockt quasi garnichts
Werbung wird auf SPON ZON etc. unverändert weiterhin angezeigt. Ist eine ziemliche Enttäuschung.

The web feels…“new“
I have tried numerous Adblockers on both iOS and MacOS and can confidently say that wipr is by far the best experience for me. It’s extremely lightweight and fast and I have yet to see an ad. Big plus: I’ve not encountered any blank spots on web pages and it DOES NOT have a subscription model. To the developer: please stick to your onetime purchase business model and I’ll gladly support wipr 2 when it’s out.

Nice Adblocker
A wise man once said about his product - “It just works”. The same applies here. No hassles, no need to wrangle around in bad UI. It simply works. I have not seen an ad that has slipped through.
I am happy with it
I’m using it without the extra integration and I’m completely happy with how well it performs using just the Content blocker extension API.
