The app has a clean & pretty Lay-out and format and most of the things work well, only 2 issues: 
As a non-native speaker I sometimes tap on some words to look them up, which often results in the app being frozen, so I have to close it and start it again.

I re-subscribed on a good offer because of the sheer quality of the magazine. But this here is a review of the app. And the app is simply dreadful and has seen no development for years and years now. No landscape, navigation cumbersome, view and reading adjustment options: None. In short: Stuck in a bygone era.

### *---- "Covering latest technologies while being stuck in the 1990’s"
I am very disappointed with entire Wired Digital Access subscription. They charge you money way before your current subscription expires and when you try to contact their customer support you realise that you cannot reach them in any other way except the telephone.

For a magazine that covers latest technologies that is extremely disappointing and sad. It’s 2019 and you should have technical support available trough all the channels!

As the App seems to be updated every now and then I can’t understand why there is now iPhone X, X Max or Xr support.

This is supposed to be a magazine on the hottest stuff in Tech. Meanwhile the app is dated.

Versteht mich nicht falsch, Wired auf dem iPad zu lesen ist genial, das Magazin macht seinen Job wirklich sehr gut. Aber seit dem Update auf iOS 6.1 stürzt die App immer ab, sobald keine Netzwerkverbindung besteht. Das Problem ist den Verlagen bekannt, aber Conde Nast scheint es nicht ernst zu nehmen. So lange ist das hier eine Ein-Stern-Rezension.

Schade, zurzeit ist die App leider unbrauchbar, da selbst die Texte als Bilder gespeichert wurden und daher auf dem wunderschönen Retina Display unleserlich sind. Sobald hier nachgebessert wurde, werde ich zuschlagen - denn die Inhalte sind unvergleichlich gut!

National Geographic und Wired abonniert. NG schon seit einem Jahr. Doch jetzt funktioniert diese verdammte Caste node app nicht mehr. Kann nichts runterladen. Alles schon versucht. Vom Modem bis zum iPad Restore. Darf nicht passieren. 1 Stern ist zu viel. Kann ja nichts lesen.

Die Zeitschrift an sich ist ja klasse, aber die App eine Katastrophe. Komme jetzt nicht mehr an den Inhalt. 

Weiss jemand, wie man sein Geld zurück bekommt? Schliesslich habe ich für eine Leistung bezahlt, die nicht erbracht wird.
Evtl. Sammelklage? Offensichtlich bin ich ja nicht der Einzige mit Problemen!

Erst einmal muss ich sagen, dass ich das WIRED magazine an sich wirklich Super finde. Und mit den ganzen interaktiven Extras ist es echt ein tolles Erlebnis auf dem iPad. 

Jetzt kommt das ABER. Die App, die man braucht, um es zu lesen, könnte nicht schlimmer sein. Um eine neue Ausgabe zu Laden muss die app die komplette zeit im Vordergrund sein. Dazu darf das iPad auch nicht gelockt sein, denn sonst setzt der Download auch aus. Wenn man richtig viel Glück hat, bricht er dann auch gleich ab und das ganze Spiel beginnt von vorn. Außerdem muss man sich in der app einen weiteren Account erstellen, um sich anzumelden. Das alles entspricht nicht meinen Vorstellungen von einfach. Da müssen die Jungs echt noch was tun. Von einem Technologie Magazin erwarte ich da wirklich mehr.

Ich war von der ersten Ausgabe überzeugt und habe abonniert... ganz dumme Idee! Es wurde in iTunes berechnet aber die nächste Ausgabe lädt nicht automatisch - man muss sich anmelden. DAS geht aber NICHT mit der iTunes-Identität... mit welcher dann? Dazu gibt es auch keine Mail oder sonstige Benachrichtigung. 
Was allerdings manchmal(!) klappt: "Einkäufe wieder herstellen" - dann wird das neue Magazin geladen. Diese Logik erschließt sich mir nicht...

So leider SCHROTT!

Liebe Entwickler: üben und richtig machen - 15.99€ sind nicht die Welt, aber ich habe keine Lust, eine Beta-Version zu finanzieren...

I spent 16 euros for one year Wired. Then I recognized that I can't download any content. I get a failure notice which says I shell close the App and reopen it, but it doesn't work. I just wrote to the app-support yesterday, but I didn't get an answer yet. Hope it will be fixed soon, else I want my money!
