The app never works. Every time I try to edit the setting and timing for the lights the app tells me “oops an error has accorded. Please try again later” later comes around and still the SAME issue!

Great app, but at least on iOS found an issue. First, when setting up a rhythm, I wanted to set a light mode with a specific white color temperature and 100% brightness. However, every time I do this, the brightness gets set to extremely low. I have multiple times ensured I hit all the save buttons, but whenever I navigate to the color selector, it shows the brightness is set to extremely low (but temperature is correct). Please fix this issue. It appears I can set the desired brightness with a schedule, but not with rhythm. The static modes on rhythm also seem to have the correct brightness.

I purchased this wiz bulb as a bundle with an Amazon tablet for my elderly mother. The bulb is not connecting to Alexa or the tablet. I just wanted my mom to be able to use the voice activation feature for her lamp. We tried everything. For smart technology- it’s acting very dumb.

Horrible, non-intuitive setup. The little light dots are irritating. I can’t stand the changing colors but it’s not a logical step as in an icon that says “White light” I dont want my sign looking like a circus attraction. Think I’ll get a fluorescent set up. My printer hooked me up with this. We’re going to have a talk on Monday.🤮

These lights don’t work 1/2 the time.They have a terrible interface and 1/2 the lights are not able to be accessed on the app even though all the settings are identical.  Hues lights are some much better and work easily and consistently.  I got these in a bundle so luckily I only wasted the sale price. Save your $ and even more importantly don’t pay to be annoyed by a product that doesn’t work.

Why does a lightbulb now require location, Bluetooth and WiFi? Legacy app only requires WiFi. Keep the old app if that’s what you have. This new one seems to be more for gathering user data to be sold at a later date

The only reason this app is worth 2 star instead of 1 is because of the amount of preset color range settings and the customizable options. The customer service makes you jump through hoops to get the answers you need which is infuriating and the widget isn’t much of a shortcut because you still need to open the app to do the “shortcut” action. I have had these lightbulbs for a while now and while for the most part they are great, this app makes me regret not choosing another brand.

I must own around 40 Wiz lights many of them Phillips Wiz but in any case I never had many issues with the original app. 

After getting the latest iPhone 16 Pro Max and being forced to upgrade my Wiz app, I’ve had nothing but issues. 

I can’t rename lights or move them to different rooms. I can’t even add new lights to the app because even when it discovers them, it fails to add them. The light statuses in the main screen are often incorrect, and the app is very slow to change the lights when I dim or brighten them or turn them off or on or change the color. And anytime I try to do anything basic even simply changing between screens in the app, it pops up this error that says “unknown error has occurred” and doesn’t give any useful information about why it keeps happening. 

This app version has been a huge problem for years and I’ve avoided moving to it at least 3 to 4 years since whenever it first came out because of all the complaints and quite honestly if it doesn’t get corrected very soon I have no problem investing hundreds of dollars more into smart lights from a brand with a better app that doesn’t give me headaches and PTSD.

The app still functions kind of. I can change the color and turn a light on/ off 90% of the time but after every attempted action I make an error message pops up stating “unknown issue occured, something went wrong please try again.” I can no longer delete or edit any schedules. Please fix this it’s really annoying. To the point I don’t even want to try anymore.

Update: I spoke with customer service through the app. It was such a simple fix and they helped me resolve all my issues within 10 minutes. Thank you!

The original app is so much better....why release a glitchy, inferior app with an awful UI and limited functionality. This app should be abandoned and the original app supported. If not, our lights will have to be replaced.   And where is vacation mode???

Support is nonexistent and the App doesn’t work correctly. 
It is not possible to delete all devices.  It works on some, but a bad device cannot be deleted, so replacing it becomes impossible.

I literally just got my Phillips smart WiFi LED lighting with Wiz lightbulb less than an hour ago and am unable to even set up a profile. The app will not upload the terms and conditions for me to approve. I have reset my phone, checked for any upgrades my phone might need, closed and reopened the app, and uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and I’m still running into the same issue. This is frustrating considering I paid over $15. Not only have I wasted my time calling your support center, trying to troubleshoot a brand new light bulb, but I’m also now having to drive back and forth to my local super market to exchange the lightbulb. Never again will I purchase Phillips. After hours of back and forth with this app/lightbulb I gave up. I was extremely excited when I purchased but was left disappointed. Product was returned and instead I bought a FEIT ELECTRIC smart bulb (swear this is not-sponsored) and was able to connect in seconds. Phillips/WiZ has lost a customer.

I can’t use the app because the app won’t load the terms of use and thus won’t allow me to do anything; not even able to use their support chat because it is through the app. The bulb I bought is thus useless.
