…awful app Honestly, if it wasn’t for add free listening I would have given up on the app ages ago. It’s so behind Spotify, Patreon and BBC sounds yet you pay for it. It’s not user friendly in the slightest. Great content but that is its only redeeming feature.

I got the app to trial the premium version of ny favourite podcast and honestly if it wasn’t for the app i would buy it! The app stops playing randomly, takes forever to even start playing or load an episode, and just shuts down sometimes. It’s really disappointing because as much as I love the podcast the app is so glitchy that it’s put me off. I’ve tried linking it to my Apple Podcasts but it will Not connect for reasons I can’t figure out.

I love a podcast, especially when I’m travelling or even when I’m working on something that doesn’t need crucial attention. My favourites are British Scandal and Even the Rich, just great and Wondery always delivers!

Every episode I listen to seems to end about a minute early cutting off the end of the episode. I’ve cleared downloads, the cache and reinstalled the app but still happens. Bit frustrating and I’m likely to go back to Apple Podcasts and just put up with the ads.

Can’t do much because the subscribe button simply doesn’t work. No clear way to contact support either.

Worked for a while then stopped even though my subscription is paid. Support is terrible. Regret buying.

Love all the Wondery podcasts, you get to listen to a limited amount of episodes on other platforms but then are directed to the app, fair enough. I don’t mind paying so signed up but it doesn’t work! Very disappointed 😖

I’ve had this app around 2 years now, and on latest version. PROS: The content is fantastic but the app itself is extremely frustrating and glitchy. The frequency of new shows added is brilliant. The sleep timer button is great. CONS: Firstly: when listening to a series EVERY time I open the app the last thing I listened to is never the first presented to me. Meaning I have to search for it as if it never existed, and sometimes I can’t remember the name of the podcast or the artwork so have to search and find as best I can. If the app can’t locate it, I then Google search it. Madness! Why can’t it simply be listed first in the continue listening section every time?? Secondly: I often get an ‘Offline’ message when I have full wifi. I get past this by repeatedly retrying but this is frustrating. Thirdly: when I’m listening to a series, it doesn’t go straight to my last episode, I have to read which ones I’ve already played from the list and identify the next one to play. Fourthly: when I open a series it’ll just start playing an episode which I don’t want. Why can’t it just show me the list of episodes without playing anything. Really annoying. Lastly: very occasionally it will tell me I’m not on the premium version, when I am. It prompts me about it and encourages payment. *** Simple changes that will make a huge difference!

I paid for this app because podcasts are fab. Unfortunately from technical point of view many things need improving. For exemple: Although you can download episodes to listen offline when you try to play from downloads often episodes do not load and app crashes :( Episodes do not always play one after another within same show they often randomly switch to a different show. Not ideal when driving. Unable to start episodes in Airplane mode you have to be in normal mode. On the other hand I like how shows are grouped by seasons and relatable recommendations.

I’ve had endless pain with this app, here’s a short list: * Crashed CarPlay constantly when open * Drains battery and phone gets red hot when it doesn’t have network and you’re listening to something * Many features don’t work if you’re using an ad blocker like NextDNS * Downloads work about 10% of the time
