Description World of Mines is a classic, throwback PC game with a World Map twist. Inspired by the original game written for many computing platforms since the 1960s. COGOO INITIATIVE Team Cogoo has created World of Mines as a small and humble campaign to help promote 2025 Completion Challenge and to raise awareness in our community. Whether you have 10 minutes, one hour, or plenty of time, you can help build a world free of land mines and promote the rights of landmine victims too! THE WORLD IS STILL IN DANGER OF LANDMINES The use of land mine is controversial because of their potential as indiscriminate weapons. They can remain dangerous many years after a conflict has ended, harming civilians and the economy. 78 countries are contaminated with land mines and 15000+ people are killed every year. Approximately 80% of land mine casualties are civilian, with children as the most affected age group. Most Killings occur in times of peace. If you like old classic games such as chess, checkers, backgammon, solitaire, freecell as well as classic puzzle games like sudoku, tetris and crossword puzzles then this game is for you! GAME PLAY -Save the world from landmines by finding bombs -Easy to control -Pinch to Zoom -Best, smoothest, fastest interface of any Mines game -First tap luck -Flag Mode: Turn on flag mode to mark tiles you think are bombs quickly -177 Countries for hours of fun. (Countries and number of bombs don’t necessarily have a meaning) -Variety of map sizes and shapes HOW TO PLAY The objective of the game is to clear a country map containing hidden “mines” or bombs without detonating any of them, with help from clues about the number or neighboring mines in each field. The player is initially presented with a world map. The Player can select and choose to play a specific country by touching the country on the map. The game is played by revealing squares of the grid by touching each square. If a square containing a mine is revealed, the player loses the game. If no mine is revealed, a digit is instead displayed in the square, indicating how many adjacent squares contains mines. If no mines are adjacent, the square becomes blank, and all adjacent squares will be recursively revealed. The player uses this information to deduce the contents of other squares, and may either safely reveal each square or mark the square as containing a mine. If you love the game and care to provide feedback, please join our Facebook group and share you thoughts on future improvements. ## World of Mines! I could do without the countries with lots of small islands such as Canada though, because it takes away the skill aspect from the game and makes it entirely luck for some countries. The game is a very neat concept though and I love going through the continents solving each puzzle. I would it if y’all could do a separate map of the states of the USA, please! -- i said so because im awesome, 2025-06-17 ### ***** "My life is sweeping mines" Besides Canada very cool. -- superskewb, 2024-12-28 ### **--- "Could be great" Certain counties like Indonesia are impossible to clear without spending money. Way too many mines on the small islands leading to nothing but chance guesses -- Toastedsnail24, 2024-12-06 ### ***** "World of mines" Very fun and challenging I love this game. I would like to see more countries to play. -- rebelfief, 2024-11-14 ### ***-- "Fun Concept But Poor Execution and/or Obviously Unfair to Make Money" I love playing Minesweeper on a world map. It’s a really neat concept. But if you’ve played very much normal Minesweeper you’ll know that a lot of games come down to a 50/50 guess. This can be really annoying and is the worst part of Minesweeper. Sometimes it’s not about puzzle solving and just comes down to pure luck. Less space on the board with more mines makes the guesses more prevalent. The more guesses in a game, the more likely it is that you won’t win. There are some countries that have so many islands that require a guess to start each one. They also have a lot of narrow places that don’t clear out well and just come down to another guess. If they wanted to make these stages fair they would have the lowest mine counts. But instead, they have the highest mine counts meaning an impossibly high amount of guesses on those stages. You only have one life right away that can be replaced twice more for free if you watch a very long commercial. This is in addition to the ads you have to watch just playing the game. After those three “free” lives you will be encouraged to pay $.99 for a single additional life or else lose all of your progress on that board. I believe you can beat most countries without paying anything but a few countries like Canada and Indonesia are impossible without spending money. If you’re a competionist that doesn’t want to spend money on this app, then this will not be for you. -- really unique user name, 2024-11-04 ### **--- "Играбельность на маленьких странах островах" Почините игру на маленьких островных государствах. Невозможно играть, когда первое касание по другому острову приводит ко взрыву -- dfgyter, 2024-09-06 ### ***** "More country divisions" I would really love 50 states I would definitely pay for it -- Fagqttack, 2024-09-05 [View all World of Mines! reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## World of Mines!
