بصفته الجهة الرسمية المختصة بالأرصاد الجوية والزلازل، واستناداً للخطط التنفيذية لاستراتيجية المؤسسة، طور المركز الوطني للأرصاد هذا التطبيق كقناة اتصال إضافية للتواصل مع عملاء المركز والجمهور، وذلك عن طريق إتاحة البيانات الأرصادية المحدثة تلقائياً بأنماط متنوعة وعلى أبعاد زمنية مختلفة، كبيانات الطقس الحالية والتنبؤات المستقبلية المتوقعة لحالات الطقس مدعمةً بالصور العلمية عالية الجودة.
أهم مميزات التطبيق:
• دعم أحدث أجهزة أيفون و آيباد
• التنبؤات الساعية لأي مكان في العالم لمدة عشرة أيام
• التنبؤات الساعية للمدن في الإمارات لمدة أربعة أيام
• بيانات شبكة محطات الطقس التابعة للمركز الوطني للأرصاد يتم تحديثها كل ربع ساعة.
• خريطة التحذيرات الخاصة بالإمارات و المحدثة تلقائيا
• تنبيهات مخصصة حسب تفضيلات المستخدم (ضباب، أمطار ، رياح، بحر مضطرب ..)
• خرائط الطقس و تشمل صور الرادار و الأقمار الاصطناعية و التنبؤات العددية
• التنبؤات البحرية
• أوقات الصلاة و اتجاه القبلة
