Linguee is a new kind of dictionary app for French-English, Spanish-English and other language pairs. You will find reliable translations in the shortest time, even when you're offline.

SPANISH-ENGLISH AND OTHER LANGUAGES
Dictionary for Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and many more. All dictionaries are bidirectional - you search simultaneously in Spanish-English and English-Spanish.

EDITORIAL DICTIONARY
Our editorial dictionary was compiled by over 200 lexicographers in order to be capable of providing answers to the most difficult of queries.

TRANSLATION SEARCH
Additionally, with the help of the integrated translation search engine, you have access to over one billion translations from the Internet. 

QUICK SEARCH
Translations of words and phrases are shown after entering just the first few letters. Even inadvertent typing errors are intelligently corrected. 

OFFLINE MODE
The editorial dictionaries can be downloaded for free and are subsequently available for use even when you're offline. This allows you, for example, to look up terms while you are abroad and have no data connection.

EXAMPLE SENTENCES
You will find examples sentences containing all the words you search for.

PRONUNCIATION
All of the dictionary entries have been recorded audibly by professional speakers.

3D TOUCH
With a light press (Peek) on autocomplete entries you will get a preview of the corresponding article. You can also Peek at a word will show you translations for the relevant words without leaving the article. Quick actions: You can open previous searches straight from the home screen simply by pressing the Linguee icon lightly.

### ***** "Almost flawless"
The only two improvements I have in mind are 1) include the plural form for the noun searched (e.g., I search for Geschäft in German; I wish it provided the plural i.e. Geschäfte); 2) When using the iPhone version, deleting the searched word in the search bar doesn’t delete it. It appears again, and that means I got to press it another time after a momentary lag. I’m using the latest iOS version on iPhone 15 pro max.

When I press on the search bar, it just selects all the text and I can’t search

Would make learning French a lot easier with audio pronunciation and audio aspects by reading out example sentences 

Overall, I love the app!!! 

Would have rated 5 stars if an audio aspect is given in a subsequent update ^_^ 

But kudos for the creation of a comprehensive application for all students learning foreign languages!

This is the best foreign language dictionary app so far! For each different explanation, there are sentences showing examples and translation to your local language. Recommend it for serious language learners! You will benefit from the app! Kudos to the app developers:) it would be great to add german verb conjugations.

The thing i love about Linguee is that when you are looking up a word, instead of just having the meaning of the word, there are also many examples where the words/phrase is used. These examples are shown side by side in your native language and in the language you are trying to learn. It really helps you to understand how to use the word/phrase appropriately and avoid making the mistake of direct translating into another language and sounding BIZZARE.
