Additionally, with the help of the integrated translation search engine, you have access to over one billion translations from the Internet.
QUICK SEARCH
Translations of words and phrases are shown after entering just the first few letters. Even inadvertent typing errors are intelligently corrected.
OFFLINE MODE
The editorial dictionaries can be downloaded for free and are subsequently available for use even when you're offline. This allows you, for example, to look up terms while you are abroad and have no data connection.
EXAMPLE SENTENCES
You will find examples sentences containing all the words you search for.
PRONUNCIATION
All of the dictionary entries have been recorded audibly by professional speakers.
3D TOUCH
With a light press (Peek) on autocomplete entries you will get a preview of the corresponding article. You can also Peek at a word will show you translations for the relevant words without leaving the article. Quick actions: You can open previous searches straight from the home screen simply by pressing the Linguee icon lightly.

Hmm…
(Wieso wird meine Bewertung nicht akzeptiert?) Update 28.04.2024: Es gibt KEINEN Grund wieso ein Sprachprogramm aufs INTERNE Netzwerk zugreifen muss um zu funktionieren. Jedes andere Sprachprogramm braucht dies auch nicht! Auch offline forciert Linguee den Zugriff auf das lokale Netzwerk. Es wird zwar hingewiesen, dass das Produkt nicht das private Netzwerk ausspioniert dennoch musst du dem Programm die Berechtigung geben. Jedes andere Sprach-Programm funktioniert ohne Späherlaubnis. 21.03.2020 Grosses Sicherheitsleck - will Zugriff auf das lokale Netzwerk was bedeutet, dass Linguee app auf alle Geräte die darin sind Zugriff nehmen kann!! Zum Glück warnt das iOS 15 davor

Tracker
App verlangt Zugriff zu Netzwerk um zu funktionieren. Was soll das ??? Mal was von Datenschutz gehört? Meine Lösung: App gelöscht !!
Local Network Access
Clearly it doesn’t need local network access as it worked for a couple of weeks after the installation without any issues. Once it prompted for local network access request and I declined, the app locked itself. Such a shame because it’s a well done app, bad practice though, deleted.

I really wish the search bar was a centimeter lower, so that it would be reachable with one hand

Good app but can use some improvement
The content is good but the app hangs quite often which is annoying. Sometimes I need to close the app and reopen it again. I hope to see the software update soon to eliminate this problem. Thanks.
The best App for people of high intelligence
I love that Linguee is written to an advanced level and uses Oxford English rather than dumbed down American English (which I hate). With Linguee you can perfectly understand the origin and meaning of each word. Furthermore Linguee is continually in development so is always up to date and improving. I use it for German and French. I am a native Oxford English speaker. For an engineer, a doctor, a lawyer, a police officer, a student, a teacher, this this the app that you should use to perfect your: English; French; German etc. I highly recommend Linguee.
