Update 28.04.2024:
Es gibt KEINEN Grund wieso ein Sprachprogramm aufs INTERNE Netzwerk zugreifen muss um zu funktionieren. Jedes andere Sprachprogramm braucht dies auch nicht!

Auch offline forciert Linguee den Zugriff auf das lokale Netzwerk. Es wird zwar hingewiesen, dass das Produkt nicht das private Netzwerk ausspioniert dennoch musst du dem Programm die Berechtigung geben. Jedes andere Sprach-Programm funktioniert ohne Späherlaubnis.

Grosses Sicherheitsleck - will Zugriff auf das lokale Netzwerk was bedeutet, dass Linguee app auf alle Geräte die darin sind Zugriff nehmen kann!! Zum Glück warnt das iOS 15 davor

I love that Linguee is written to an advanced level and uses Oxford English rather than dumbed down American English (which I hate).

With Linguee you can perfectly understand the origin and meaning of each word. Furthermore Linguee is continually in development so is always up to date and improving.

I use it for German and French. I am a native Oxford English speaker. 

For an engineer, a doctor, a lawyer, a police officer, a student, a teacher, this this the app that you should use to perfect your: English; French; German etc. 

I highly recommend Linguee.

Ich habe mir vor einer halben Stunde das Wörterbuch „Portugiesisch-deutsch“Heruntergeladen und bin begeistert. Insbesondere die Möglichkeit, die Aussprache der portugiesischen Wörter sowohl im brasilianischen als auch im portugiesischen Standard anzuhören, ist bemerkenswert. - Wunsch für die Zukunft: gerne die Wörter auch noch in internationaler Lautschrift angeben. -Leider gibt es einen großen Haken. Die App bleibt immer wieder hängen. Es dauert zum Teil eine Minute bis man wieder einen neuen Begriff eingeben kann.

The concept and the translations of Linguee are amazing, but the app is very bad. It freezes a lot, and additionally it asks for network access, otherwise it won’t work. This should not be required for a translation app!

I love Linguee BUT it doesn’t work anymore!!! There are bugs all the time. When I’m looking up for a word a can’t use de keyboard, the application is lagging and thus very slow. I’m currently in Spain and the app would have been super handy, especially with the offline fonction… Please do something to fix all the problems Im not the only one with these issues. I’ve seen a review form some else, posted on the fifth of March, explaining struggling with the application as well.
