You can view Wrecks, their Names and Historical Information for Free: • View the 20,000+ wrecks on an interactive map with the locations marked for easy access. • Search by wreck name to easily find wrecks of interest to you. • Discover the history of the wreck and why it sank, plus other free information such as the date it sank, depth etc. • View a list of wrecks closest to your current location. You Can Upgrade To Get More By Going Premium: • Get full access to all Latitude/Longitude GPS coordinates for more than 20,000 wrecks around the UK & Ireland. You can enter these coordinates into other devices such as your plotter. • Add Favourites: mark certain wrecks as ‘favourite’ for quick reference in the future. • View your location on the map relative to your nearest wrecks and view distance away for trip planning or use on the water. • Receive the latest updates from government bodies. Information will be automatically downloaded to your device through your account. Premium is available through in-app purchasing. Wreckfinder Premium is available with an annual subscription. I initially received a reply from support saying they would look into it, but after following up I’ve had no further response and the issue still hasn’t been resolved. It’s very frustrating to pay for a subscription and not be able to use it. The app has potential, but the lack of communication and support is really disappointing. This app gives me nothing more than the depth of the wreck. I can get that reading a maritime chart. I went to download it again and the developer has taken my initial payment, but changed the app so I need to buy it all over again. So basically I paid for something, which was then taken away and offered instead something else which was massively more expensive. I’m sorry but if I sold someone a car - then went to their house and took it back without refund, then offered to then sell them the same car for around 5 times the price, you’d end up in prison. You can download it for free but absolutely everything is locked behind a paywall so you get literally no information whatsoever unless you subscribe to the annual payment. Very unethical way to do business and makes this app seem like a total scam. I have chartplotters with the wrecks on but this app let me plan trips in my lounge as an alternative to navionics.
