I don’t know where XCWeather app gets its data from, but after using the app for over a year and comparing it to other apps and the actual weather, my conclusion is that XCWeather is completely useless and I will be deleting the app from my smartphone

I rely on this app for sailing, but a recent update installed, started, then immediately hid the screen.
However, just a week or so later the developer released a version which fixed this problem. So my 2-star review gains 3 extra stars!

The app says my location is sunny , it is raining . 
Or it is overcast but it’s raining . 
The met office say it’s raining  and they are right ! not xc weather, it’s all sun and parasols , actually we are under umbrellas trying to stay dry .

I love this app. 90% of the time extremely accurate. 10% probably is the nature rather than the app that alters the result. 

I highly recommend it to my SUPing friends especially when SUPing on the sea/tidal large river or in a loch.

Used this app for over a year. At first it was reliable however this year it’s just gone completely crap. I doubt if it could predict the Wednesday comes after Tuesday. This week it predicted a complete week of rain. We got sunshine and no rain. You cannot trust this app or use it to make any advance plans based around weather. Pathetic.

I used to love getting the XCweather info but I’m finding the app is showing more and more inaccurate forecasts. Also, the app is not as good as the desk top version for general usage. I’m finding I’m relying more and more on other apps such as Met Office and WillyWeather. On various days I’ve compared the forecasts given and found that XC has often been the most inaccurate.
