At Xero, protecting your data is fundamental to everything we do. Just one easily guessed password can stop your business in its tracks. So Xero has put an extra deadbolt on the door to help keep your data secure.
This is why Xero uses MFA to secure logins. It significantly reduces the risk of someone gaining access to your account, even if they've managed to obtain your email and password through a phishing attack or malware.
The Xero Verify app is simple to use. You can receive push notifications for fast authentication, instead of having to open the app and enter a code into Xero when you login. Simply accept the notification on your device's home screen - it's that easy.

Such a bad user experience
We have just signed up to Xero today, but cannot get past the authentication process with this useless app. Nothing synchronises with the website. This has been such a frustrating waste of time, we will most likely seek a refund from Xero and try another accounting software package.

Sorry guys but this is making my life a misery. Xero was meant to save me time - this app means I take even longer to do things. Utterly disappointed and must say xero no longer gets my ease of use vote.

Please make it go away. Doesn’t work properly, and just makes running Xero from my phone take longer and be more frustrating. I was talked into using Xero because it was supposed to be easy, and it used to be mostly easy, this stupid authenticator app is making it hardly worth it.
Don’t touch this app with a barge pole.
If you break a phone and change from Samsung to iPhone the App will not recognise your new phone even though you have the same phone number from the same internet provider. My Certified Accountant who put me onto Xero and they cannot fix this. Locked out of my system at end of month invoicing time GGRRR! I have messaged Xero and they keep telling me to do the same thing……. Which I cannot do!! Changing accountants and accounting software.
