This is despite uninstalling and reinstalling the app multiple times to ensure I have the current version and despite trying to follow help instructions on Xplor online (which I couldn’t operationalise because the app tabs relied upon in the online instructions never showed in my app). The online support function of Xplor (live chat) was never available in my timezone. I tried it last school holidays to sign my children in at daycare and even after a whole school term, the developers have not bothered to locate and fix the bug. I have been using the same email I have had since high school back in 2002 which works for everything else and I’ve had my wife and the centre send me invite after invite and still this app does not work. I used to be able to scroll through and save or like individual photos. Now i must click on them individually. Also I can only like/save the photo ‘group’ - keeping in mind sometimes the daycare will post group activities, if I want to save a photo of my child I end up with a phone full of photos of all of the classmates and likewise with my ‘liked’ photos, which used to be great to look back on. The photos added now open in a tiny window, if you try to zoom in or out to see your child it instead skips between photos. I used to be able to download individual photos and now I can’t. Surely there are privacy concerns here if the default option is to download everybody’s kids’ photos. Only one comment - The new version with Post feature does not allow downloading of an individual photo. When downloading, all the photos in that post have to be downloaded. It is not very convenient when a parent only wants to download the photo of their children. The older version with Observation feature allows individual photo downloading. It delivers notifications and provides updates in a very convenient way. However the most recent update has a couple of annoying features. One being when photos are posted. For some reason I no longer have the option to download individual photographs of my child, instead, I have to ‘download all media’ in the post and then delete all of the images that are not of my child, that I don’t want to keep. You can’t scroll through the photos in a “preview” mode anymore, you have to open the modal instead. Once in the modal context, you can’t zoom in on the individual photos without it scrolling to the next photo automatically. Then when you go to download a photo it downloads the entire album with everyone else’s kids! I feel the devs forgot to do basic QA on this update.
