Maybe I missing something?

Jasper77777 on

I purchased this App to run Perplexity as my default search, in place of Google, but it appears that will only work if I precede every single search with the phrase (I realise the phrase can be changed) “Perp” or suchlike..that defeats the whole object for me. Am I missing something?

Great App

NhojSCC on

Really neat app providing shortcuts to global and website search engines in Safari. It works seamlessly and bug free for me.

Override safari engine

therealessjay on

I don’t usually leave reviews, but once I found that “override safari engine” in settings. A total game changer!! So glad I found this app and it to have it sync to iCloud and use the same settings on my Mac. Amazing. Top notch developer

Essential Extensial

temocj on

It works perfectly and I could not live without it. One small issue though: the toolbar button keeps coming back a while after removing it. Frankly it's unnecessary.

fantastic App

love that i can add prefix to a massive amount of sites nd then search for info specific to each site only. Such a game changer

Brilliant app

Dso3 on

Wow, what an app! A few taps and I can curate my own list of search engines for Safari, add and remove shortcuts, search a huge gallery of existing engines, fabulous. Every Safari user should buy this app. Congrats to the dev!

Restricted no more…

SlinkyWolfHook on

Really like this app, can’t fault it for what it provides. Well worth a purchase! What this app does is highlight just how antiquated Apple’s decisions are these days. Don’t get me wrong, I really like my Apple software and products, but some of the restrictions put in place are becoming very tiresome! Let’s face it, with the introduction of content blockers, privacy protection and now extensions, there really is very little benefit of using any other web browser on iOS. The competition has been deliberately hamstrung to keep Safari’s dominance on iOS, we know this and we know the reasons why. It’s just business, as they say. However, let me choose or add my own damn search engine natively! Why do we need an extension to do this most basic of changes?! Credit where it’s due, the dev earns the entrance fee for this extension. Keep riding that revenue till Apple decides to allow you to create custom search engines!

Spectacular App

LTY_CK_TS on

This App is so sick! Now I can search anything on any site by just adding a prefix in Safari~ The preinstalled search engines are about enough and I can even add my own customized search engine. Definitely a good Safari plugin!

Great and a bright future

Really nice to be able to use shortcuts to search using custom search engines it’s just a shame you can’t replace the default Safari search engine as indicated in the change log by not specifying a shortcut.

Splendid Extension to Safari on iOS

Excellent help from the developer when adding a less popular search too. Neat app. Recommended
