## YMCA San Diego Reviews in United States

### **--- "Can’t book group fitness"
Keeps telling me I don’t have an active membership. I’ve called several Y locations and nobody can figure it out. Kind of makes the community plus membership not worth it - I can book child care but without a guaranteed spot in a class that is kind of irrelevant. It’s been weeks and I can’t get anyone to help, very frustrating.
-- danielle_786, 2026-06-12

### *---- "Super buggy, does not do a fraction of what it should."
My membership reflects differently in the app for what I actually pay at the Y, thus not allowing me to use features I pay for.

And good luck trying to recover a password or create a new account; the app never sends you a pin.
-- woowww3, 2026-05-14

### *---- "Can’t log in"
Been signing in as a guest for the last few months because the login button is unpressable
-- Sotobetawi234, 2026-02-20

### ***-- "Can’t add activities"
I’m a sucker for challenges and the app now allows you to complete challenges for badges. However? on both iPhone 16 Pro and iPad, the ‘Add new activity’ screen shows a bottom activity menu that appears swipeable but cannot be expanded by swipe or tap, making activity logging impossible. I just want my badges…
-- AnonFem!, 2026-01-10

### **--- "Login No Longer Works"
I am able to login on the website, no problem. But login doesn’t work on the app anymore.
-- OsideNative, 2026-01-08

### *---- "Horrible testing"
Password works on online platform but fails on the app. Same password is being used via password manager.
-- johnphipps4, 2026-01-07

### **--- "Login issue"
I can login online but in the app my login information do not work
-- Askelleb, 2026-01-05

### **--- "Ok but glitch"
After using for 2 years they still have not fixed the name being cut off above bar code.
-- ckelly92116, 2025-12-20

### *---- "Logs into the wrong account"
It doesn’t even log me into the YMCA, but to the LFJCC app- it seems their software shares the same program and won’t disconnect my old gym membership from LFJCC to my new YMCA one so it keeps glitching out
-- JOJoATeam, 2024-09-30

### *---- "App is trash"
Love the Y but the app is complete trash!
-- Duecel, 2024-06-02

### ***-- "Bare minimum app"
It would be nice if you could save or favorite locations or have your home location automatically pop up. I really only use it to check in and see what classes are available, other than that the app isn’t good for anything else
-- briohna, 2024-05-26

### *---- "Lost Apple Wallet Support"
I had this app during the first version and it let me add my ID to my Apple wallet. I recently got a new phone and needed to read my ID to my wallet but this version will not let me!! Very frustrating to have to go to the app to check in compared to double tapping a side button. Horrible update
-- IzzyWinz, 2024-02-19

### *---- "Fails at step 1"
It isn't possible to log in with existing member login credentials. You are forced to create a new account and/or reset the password of existing account. Not sure which, since once it was clear I couldn't log in with my existing credentials I stopped using it. This problem is as of December 2023. Hopefully they will fix this soon.
-- rgrush, 2023-12-17

### ***** "Check-in code is great!"
As a serial-loser of the plastic fob, happy that I can use the bar code on the app for checkin.
You don’t have to make a new password for the app. Just use the same one as your YMCA account.
-- CherOfTheDog, 2023-09-17

### *---- "Can’t even book a class!"
Clicked on book a class, it shows you the classes, and then nowhere to book. LOL! Bad app
-- BlytheInteriors, 2023-07-08

### *---- "This app is crap"
The old YMCA app worked just fine. Now this new app version won’t even log you in with the same credentials you login with on the computer. It’s become so frustrating that I won’t even use it.
-- AZgal7, 2023-06-24

### *---- "Frustrated"
I see reviews going back 4 years, not much progress made. Ditch the app
-- Mojo’s 1375, 2023-05-24

### *---- "Does not work with San Diego"
I log in with my ymcasd account and I only see YMCA Los Angeles locations. Completely useless
-- hello!again, 2023-01-27

### ***-- "Needs help"
1. It won’t hold your favorite location. Reverts to the first on the list every time.
2. It won’t allow the phone to memorize the login so you have to type in everything every time. Needs fingerprint and face login.
3. The location “open or closed” notice does not coordinate with the hours calendar. Calendar states it’s open and yet the location button stated it’s closed. (Happens on holiday closings) like the day before New Year’s Eve and so on. (When no one else has that day off).
-- MiloBW, 2023-01-17

### *---- "Website not working"
If you can get in…maybe it will work!
-- MarkRizzo, 2023-01-04
