Einfach genial
Die beste App um die Übersicht über die eigenen Finanzen (und vor allem Ausgaben) zu bekommen. Die Bedienung ist einfach, die Synchronisierung funktioniert super. Zwar etwas teuer, ist aber jeden bezahlten Cent wert, wenn man überlegt, wie viel man dadurch spart.
Viele Jahre genutzt, jetzt nutzlos!
Wir haben die App viele Jahre genutzt. Den direkten Import haben wir sehr zu schätzen gewusst. Leider werden nun viele deutsche Banken nicht mehr unterstützt. Für den Preis ist es absolut nicht wert, wenn man manuell importieren muss. Werden nun kündigen und wechseln.
Support für große deutsche Banken wird entfernt
Seit ein paar Wochen werden viele deutsche Banken nicht mehr unterstützt. Dies macht die App leider nutzlos für viele Deutsche.

Avoid if you're in the EU
I used to be a big fan, but YNAB has just suddenly, without any prior notice, stopped supporting bank imports for a large swath of european banks. Automatically importing transactions was one of the main features, and a lot of people were heavily using this. Communication about which banks are supported is very limited so it's hard to find out if you can use it or not. With things like this, YNAB sadly isn't a tool that can be recommended anymore if you're in the EU
Privacy policy ruins reputation
The new mandatory privacy policy is such a disappointment. Not only are the hyperlinks to opt out of certain aspects of the policy coincidentally “broken”, it’s simply exhausting that companies can’t accept the money they are paid by consumers and instead seek to abuse their access to customer information to monetize and advertise. Shame on YNAB. I’ll be looking for a replacement in the future.
Can’t create account
I used this once before, and I have a username and password for it in my password manager. But I can’t login (doesn’t recognize my email address) and there is no link to create a new account. - it only lets me login. Weird. Useless.
Great tool - but still not translated
I use YNAB since years now and the app looks fresh and clean structured. Unfortunately, YNAB is still (since many years) only available in English and not translated into other major languages (like for me: German). This prevents my wife to use the app on a daily basis - what actually is the aim of it… YNAB: please translate your great software (web+app)!!
Hat mein Leben verändert
Bis vor einem Jahr habe ich mein ganzes Erwachsenenleben (mehr als 20 Jahre) in einer finanziellen Schieflage verbracht. YNAB hat mir geholfen, mir ein klares Bild von der Realität zu machen und langsam aber sicher aus dem Chaos herauszukommen - und das ohne unerträgliche Einschränkungen. Ich persönlich empfand den Einstieg als sehr leicht, und es gibt genug Infomaterial in Form von Videos und Artikeln, die einen unterstützen. Die App funktioniert zuverlässig- man muss sagen, dass es empfehlenswert ist, zusätzlich auch die App im Webbrowser zu nutzen. Klare Empfehlung von mir, gerade auch für Leute, die schon häufig erfolglos versucht haben, ein Haushaltsbuch zu führen.
