YNAB is great for budgeting what you already have, and goals somewhat help planning ahead, but overall I feel like I need to do long-term planning somewhere else... But those are limitations of the YNAB mindset probably, one system cannot fit all the needs. As for the iOS app itself, I personally desperately lack search box in the list of budgets (because I have a bunch of them and it is hard to find the one that I need just to look what’s left) and collapsing of the categories, like in web version. Also multiple currencies support, of course.
Please, add divide/multiply buttons to the calculator on the Add Transaction screen.
Please make button press more noticeable on the Add transaction screen. It’s not obvious if I pressed the digit. It would be also nice to add some sound when pressing a digit. Sometimes I can see a very subtle animation, sometimes there is no animation at all. Please fix this ASAP.
It's awesome and useful.
You have made paid subscribtion but stop to improve product! The last update was 2 May? Serious? What next will you make in YNAB for users?
I don’t know exactly what happened in this latest update, but approving transactions is very frustrating. Catagories, payees, just not appearing the way they did before the update. I’m sure I’m not being very clear, but something significant changed.
I read You Need a Budget about a year ago and then spent time trying to create my own budget because I felt like I could do it myself and save money! After lots of time and frustration I realized it was more cost effective to pay someone to help me. 😅 it is definitely worth it for the help and peace of mind it brings for me! I have been loving it and how it helps me give all my money a job. I can look at how we spend as data to adjust as needed and love that it syncs to our accounts. Such a wonderful app, thank you!!
Do not like the account views on mobile. Too busy with “uncleared” rather than the “c” icon. Also do not like the shaded memos. Every update creates a busier look with more taps.
Not pleased with the recent change to how cleared/uncleared transactions are displayed. The new design adds lots of unnecessary space and takes up much more room. Also, seeing notes for each transaction is not important to me in the list view. It should be an option to enable/disable something like this. All these changes to “make it easier for new YNABers to get started” is sometimes making it worse for users. Having a slight on ramp to understand the YNAB system is not something that needs to be decimated. Encourage learning rather than eliminating longstanding systems in the name of simplification.
