Never worry about money again

Published by: You Need A Budget

Description

Where does all your money go? Exactly where you tell it to!

“We started YNAB January 1st with $37 saved and ended the year with $42,000. Plus we paid $14,000 cash for a new roof.”
-Kyle, YNAB user since 2020

If you’re like the average YNABer (just AVERAGE), you’ll save $600 in the first two months. And $6,000 in the first year. But you might experience something much more powerful than a growing bank account balance or paid off credit cards: 92% of YNABers report feeling less stressed since starting YNAB.

“YNAB has removed the stress of money from my life and in doing so has helped make me a better husband. It's like I got to remove a personal flaw I had never been able to fix."
-Kyle, again. We didn’t even pay him to say this, but maybe we should.

Every dollar represents you—it’s the product of your energy. You work too hard for all that to go to waste. We’ll show you how to give every dollar a job, so your paychecks are working toward your priorities and values, your wants and needs, your work and your play. Your money is your life. Spend it well with YNAB.

YNAB Reviews

Doesn’t synch with HSBC

Chops-Mcgee on

As the title says. Will not link with HSBC making it quite pointless.

How can this app be about help you save money but then creates a subscription that u have to pay for in order to save money?? Make that make sense????

Was a really great app, but no more.

BobColc on

I used to really like this product from some 15 years ago. Now it very confusing.

Plaid

CJF37 on

United Kingdom

Switch to Plaid for banking updates has ruined this app. Takes multiple days for account balances to update. - if at all. Makes keeping track of accounts much more difficult as many transactions can be missing.

$109 for an app that saves money?

Huggis on

United Kingdom

The concept of YNAB is good however it is not unique. I’ve struggled with consistent budgeting for years , and find YNAB gets into a mess if you don’t update it regularly enough as actions taken , or not taken, impact future months. On top of that the price has become far too high for people who are focused on saving money. I’d like to stick with it but it’s just too expensive!

Awful App UX

__ Karl __ on

United Kingdom

I agree with the other reviewers about the unnecessary updates to the app. I now also avoid it and give a huge sigh whenever I have to use it over the excellent web version. The problem is that the changes make it harder to do anything. Multiple clicks and lots of noise (what's with the multiple tabs!!). It seems more about branding than actual functionality. Simplicity should be the key here guys - what we have here is just terrible UX. It used to be great. I work with designers and they now actually use it as a regular example of what not to do with an app! Please consider changing it back. I just pray that the web team do not go this way (please, I beg you - don't!!!!)

Meh

I really struggle using the app cause I can’t set my month to begin on a certain day

Lloyds no go

Sliminytim on

United Kingdom

I’ve been using this app for years and since they have changed the provider, my Lloyds accounts no longer sync properly rendering the app unusable for me

Used to be good

GrooveUK on

United Kingdom

Not so much in 2025. Rising costs , a switch of banking connection provider in the UK (to a poorer one) , uneccessary UI and workflow resigns have left me looking for an alternative. Shame, been with these guys since they started.

Pointless change after pointless change

Afee646 on

United Kingdom

I used to love this app, logging in for the sake of it sometimes. Now the last year or so I absolutely dread it, for some reason the dev team seem to be making things more difficult to do, less intuitive and just all round a poorer experience with each update.
