This app really makes it easy to see where you’re spending money and honestly makes number crunching a bit fun. The tutorial videos are also really helpful for getting started and doing some more complicated things like setting up loans in the app and investment accounts. Probably the only subscription I have rn that feels worth it.

The best app if you’re actually serious about managing your money. If you just want something that casually aggregates your spending that you check on every few months, this isn’t the app for you.

I’ve used a couple budgeting apps but they were based on monthly budgets while I get paid bu-weekly. So I always had to rely on my spreadsheets to make them work. Then I found Budget Nerds podcast. After listening to them gush over the app, I decided to try it out. It’s amazing. There’s a learning curve but totally worth all the video watching. The other budgeting apps work fine but YNAB gets me. And I get it.  I no longer need multiple spreadsheets to do my budget and balance my accounts. And keep track of everything I want to keep track of. Most of it is in the app.  I really do feel like I am not alone in this budget adventure.

Design team thinks we are dumb and that we don’t know how to add icons to our own account names. Nobody has Chk….1234 as their account name. And if they did, it’s likely the way they wanted it. And for all the accounts that are not linked, you still forced a non-descript dollar bill as the “logo”. How does that help? Stop forcing your whims that are completely arbitrary on to your customers. Give me the option to turn off these very unhelpful logo detractors. When I have a savings and checking with the same bank, you still have the same logo. And why do I need more company brand logos in my life?  Let me turn them off!!
