## Yoga Nidra Description
Relaxation with the iPhone or iPad!

The yoga nidra relax app contains 6 guided audio exercises of different length and intensity, which guide you systematically and professionally into a state of deep relaxation. The exercises can be done at home, but also while sitting in the train, plane or office. No special knowledge or means are required for the practice.

Give it a try, and you will see how nidra-relax helps you to go through life much more relaxed and capable to enjoy moment by moment.

All the exercises are derived from the yoga nidra method and have been conceived and recorded by a professional yoga teacher.

Yoga nidra is a relaxation and meditation method that encompasses all levels of the human being: it releases muscular tensions, as well as mental and emotional. Therefore yoga nidra can be used as an effective method in stress reduction.

Yoga nidra is not a physical yoga practice that requires demanding poses. The only thing you have to do, is to lie down as comfortable as possible on your yoga mat, in the bed, (or while sitting in the train or plane) remain in stillness and follow the clear and simple instructions.

Through the regular practice of yoga nidra the stress hormones are reduced, the regenerative body functions and the immune system are stimulated. It has been tested by physicians and scientist all over the world, who accredited it as an efficient support in the treatment of psychosomatic diseases. Mainly in afflictions such as sleep disturbances, nervousness, heart and stomach diseases, asthma and migraine

Nidra-relax app has been recommended by the german magazine GEO Special Yoga:
“An authentic deep relaxation as it is practiced in the classical yoga. With different levels. Nice and simple design and description of the effects. Recommended as an anti-stress meditation.”

For german instructions please have a look at "Nidra Relax", the german version of this app.

## Yoga Nidra Reviews in United States

### ***** "So relaxing!"
This is my favorite yoga nidra app. Thank you so much for adding back the ability to mute the background music. Great customer service!
-- Jacey64, 2022-08-31

### ***** "One of the best - even with its flaws"
There are so few authentic yoga Nidra apps that contain the level of depth and insight that this one does. I think her accent is endearing and the app only crashes if you keep trying to change the volume. If you set it and leave it it works perfectly.

I use this almost every day and prefer it to everything else I’ve tried. It’s an idiosyncratic gem.
-- nidra practitioner, 2022-05-23

### *---- "Keeps crashing"
Her voice is so calming, I like the fact you can adjust the volume of the music and her voice separately, I’m finally able to not fall asleep immediately but now I realize I can’t get thru an entire exercise bc it crashes every time. Boo:(
-- Msl5670, 2021-01-03

### *---- "Distracting accent"
I agree with the one star review that the accent of the yoga leader was very distracting and unsettling
-- nidra fan, 2019-07-23

### *---- "Awful"
The computer generated voice is not relaxing at all and way too many words are pronounced incorrectly. Many times it's impossible to even understand what words are being said. What a shame. If they invested in a better production this would likely be a great product. I'm irritated I wasted money on this as I just can't listen to it.
-- Forkinroad2, 2015-06-17

### ***** "Superb Nidra App"
I'm impressed! Have had this app for several days and love it. There are several audio programs to choose from and I especially enjoy "Inner Journey" and "Tantric Chakra." I wish there were an optional repeat button. I also wish the countdowns from 27-to-zero allowed the time to actually complete the full count. In "Inner Journey" there are three such countdowns, each only lasting for five breaths. I suggest either changing the audio to match the time allowance or preferably, lengthen the time. These are minor complaints. I highly recommend this app both for experienced Nidra practitioners as well as for anyone seeking a technique to relax.
