FORMATS
Yomu supports standard ebooks without digital rights management.
Choose any of over thousand freely available ebooks from publishers like Feedbooks, Manybooks or Project Gutenberg. Download ebooks directly from your browser, copy files from other apps or add them with AirDrop. Import files with iCloud Drive, iTunes File Sharing, or from Dropbox, Google Drive, OPDS and Calibre.
READER
The reader's design is carefully crafted for ebooks and offers custom styles for better readability.
Choose your favorite theme, reader mode (day, sepia, night, black), select a preset or custom font size, content layout (page, scroll) and many more options. All settings can be saved as your personal default for each book.
Swipe or tap to go to the next page. You can also use the book's content outline or table of contents to navigate to another chapter.
While reading EPub, Mobi and Kindle books, select text to take notes or highlight favorite sections. Create bookmarks or search inside ebooks to quickly find anything you are looking for.
LIBRARY
Organise your books in an easy to use library.
Manage your library by creating folders or tags to organize your books. Sort your collection either by title, author or drag and drop for a custom order.
You can edit a document's title, author, summary, cover or any other meta data. Save or export your books with all information and annotations in text, markdown or json format.
CLOUD
Yomu's Cloud Library (pro only) stores your books and annotations securely in Apple's iCloud.
Keep all your ebooks safe and at hand on whatever device. Every time you change something on one device, it's synced to all your other devices. Always have the latest version, when you start reading on your iPad and continue on your iPhone on the go.
Please note that you need to be signed in on your device with the same Apple ID on both platforms.
WIDGETS
See your recently read books or highlighted quotes.
Yomu includes widgets to quickly view and open your books and quotes. Add a widget from the gallery and choose a list from the options. Tap on an entry to continue reading where you left off.
YOMU PRO
Yomu is free to use and includes all basic features.
Every ebook format, theme or setting is available and lets you try out the unrestricted reader. However, the free version has some limitations and does not include certain features.
Upgrade to Yomu Pro to get:
- Cloud Library: Store and sync your library with Apple’s iCloud.
- Unlimited Documents: No limit on the number of documents.
- No Advertisement: Free version can display ads.

Плюсы:
- Плавный и быстрый.
- Настраиваемый. Темы, отступы, границы, шрифт. Все есть. А с недавним обновлением дизайн книги больше не ломает разметку заголовков.
- Есть экспорт аннотаций одним массивом в маркдаун файле. Как пользователю Obsidian, это огромный плюс.
Минусы:
- Было бы славно допилить правильную разметку footnotes, чтобы видны были линии которые разграничивают их(между текстом и то что под ним)
- Как вариант, можно добавить немного efficiency при выборе тех или иных настроек. К примеру когда выбираю тему, открывается новое окно с доступными темами.
Что если сделать вместо этого Pop up окно?
Нажал на Mode и в pop up айфоновском окошке вылезли темы для выбора.
Что то вроде этого.

Hope this alternative will work. BUT - please add highlights for pdf - add jump to pages, it weird that I should list hundreds pages if content is missing in a book.- add page numbers, to see the progress
Functional
Great app. But for the ideal, you need to finalize a few points.
1. You need to add the ability to change the font to bold, italic or any other. There are a lot of fonts in your application, but you can't change this parameter. We can choose the Verdana font, but I want to make it bolder, but I can't.
2. Very poor PDF support. Add the ability to change page flipping to scrolling and back. If I zoomed in on a page, then I need to save it for the next one, not reset it. PDF reading is not optimized on iPhone and even on Mac it is impossible to enlarge the text. At least copy the functionality from Books from Apple.
3. A very important moment is when you click on the link and throws the book into the note, and the note, for example, in EPUB books, it is at the end and there is no way to return to the page where it was. There is no return to the previous page.
4. Add scrolling of all pages. Like the usual scrolling that is everywhere, take it and drag it.

So far the best for epub.
The app is great!
Though I have a few wishes:
- there is a “translate” option when we first choose the sentence but it’s not in the context menu after we select the existing highlight. Would be awesome to have it there as well.
- ctrl+c works if we select the part of the text before highlighting, but doesn’t work when we select the highlighted text by clicking on it (only through “copy” option).
With these two this app would become perfect. For me, at least.
But still, thanks for that e-reader.

Just what I’ve been looking for. The minimalism and opportunity to extract annotations in *md for Obsidian just perfect. I tried many of the book readers out there, and for now on it’s only Yomu that I need.
Only few wishes:
- another method to stamp bookmarks in book (I have trouble to find my bookmark in all of the annotations mess I’ve mad)
- separate tab of annotations picked from all of the books, just for having opportunity to scroll through all of them and the opportunity to see text in full without open the book.
