Yomu is an independent reader for book lovers. Yomu’s design is carefully crafted for ebooks and offers custom styles for better readability and distraction-free reading.

Designed to let you focus on reading, Yomu has no unnecessary preferences. Just open a book and start reading. Yomu’s fluid layout dynamically adjusts all text properties and margins depending on your preferred styles and device, giving you an optimal reading experience.

FORMATS
Yomu supports standard ebooks without digital rights management.

Supported formats:
- EPub (.epub)
- Mobi (.mobi, .prc)
- Kindle (.azw, .azw3, .kf8)
- Comics (.cbz, .cbr)
- PDF (.pdf) 

Choose any of over thousand freely available ebooks from publishers like Feedbooks, Manybooks or Project Gutenberg. Download ebooks directly from your browser, copy files from other apps or add them with AirDrop. Import files with iCloud Drive, iTunes File Sharing, or from Dropbox, Google Drive, OPDS and Calibre.

READER
The reader's design is carefully crafted for ebooks and offers custom styles for better readability.

Choose your favorite theme, reader mode (day, sepia, grey, dusk, night, black), select a preset or custom font size, content layout (page, scroll) and many more options. All settings can be saved as your personal default for each book.

Swipe or tap to go to the next page. You can also use the book's content outline or table of contents to navigate to another chapter.

While reading EPub, Mobi and Kindle books, select text to take notes or highlight favorite sections. Create bookmarks or search inside ebooks to quickly find anything you are looking for.

LIBRARY
Organise your books in an easy to use library.

Manage your library by creating folders or tags to organize your books. Sort your collection either by title, author, series, recently read or drag and drop for a custom order.

You can edit a document's title, author, summary, cover or any other meta data. Save or export your books with all information and annotations in text, markdown or json format.

CLOUD
Yomu's Cloud Library (pro only) stores your books and annotations securely in Apple's iCloud.

Keep all your ebooks safe and at hand on whatever device. Every time you change something on one device, it's synced to all your other devices. Always have the latest version, when you start reading on your iPad and continue on your iPhone on the go.

Please note that you need to be signed in on your device with the same Apple ID on all platforms.

WIDGETS
See your recently read books or highlighted quotes.

Yomu includes widgets to quickly view and open your books and quotes. Add a widget from the gallery and choose a list from the options. Tap on an entry to continue reading where you left off.

YOMU PRO
Yomu is free to use and includes all basic features.

Every ebook format, theme or setting is available and lets you try out the unrestricted reader. However, the free version has some limitations and does not include certain features.

Upgrade to Yomu Pro to get:
- Cloud Library: Store and sync your library with Apple’s iCloud.
- Unlimited Documents: No limit on the number of documents.
- No Advertisement: Free version can display ads.

### ***** "Easy to use with simple UI"
This app is perfect for storing so many books, comics, pdfs, and fanfic alike! The import feature makes it super easy to mass upload files unlike a lot of other e-readers I’ve used in the past. I’m a huge fan of the tagging system that allows me to add another way to categorize my files beyond the different ways the app provides. 

I do wish there were some more customization options available, but it’s such a non-issue that it’s not worth removing any stars.

I hope this reader is on its way to being super popular. It works well. I would like to see more refined capabilities for sorting books but it does already have folder creation and tags. My main concern is that it apparently cannot hold more than 500 books before becoming “unstable.” I’m disappointed in that restriction and hope that future improvements will include a larger capacity.

Excellent, built-in dictionary and translator.  Split-screen.  Bookmarks. Notes.  Highlights.  Formatting options.  Documentation.  Does everything I need for language study.  

I use public domain texts to study Japanese.  This week Kindle stopped me from copying a phrase from a public domain, Aozora Bunko story telling me I had reached some kind of copying limit.  I’ve been using Kindle for years and never encountered this problem. Sometimes I copy/paste into ChatGPT to get a lesson on grammar or vocabulary.  Amazon’s boneheaded decision will undoubtedly steam other language scholars.  I recommend “Yomu” to those who are similarly inconvenienced.

Maybe I’ll move my entire Kindle collection here.

This app is by far the WORST app when it comes to respecting the style the publisher wants to use. It stomps on background colors on anything but "Day" theme, and it stomps all over everything else even when you put it into what IT calls the "publisher's style" mode! Even Apple Books respects the freaking border colors I put in, but not this app!

I have been searching for years for a reader that gave me functionality to add and sort series and gave me the ability to add metadata. I have never found one that met my needs for I OS. This hits every single wish list item and then some. Plus it’s has an outstanding reading interface (which, let’s be honest is the whole point of a reader). This is the best eReader of the over 50+ I’ve tried. This will be my last eReader - my search is over.

I don't get the hype or 4 star reviews. After using this app for close to three years, I find it difficult to use and unreliable. I absolutely wanted to like this app but I am disappointed by it in many ways. The net of it all is I found a good open source competitor app. I use that now.

I’ve been using Yomu for months and I love the interface and available features. It looks clean but is very powerful in terms of customization to your preferences. It can also be synced across devices which is perfect for me. I can pick off where I left off on any device. I can also tweak the theme for a more comfortable reading experience.

I wish we actually owned what we bought from Apple.  Marvin still works, but if I buy a new iPhone and give up my 12 pro, Marvin will not be available to me anymore.  Ridiculous.  However, need led me to the even better Yomu.  This is so much better than I was even looking for.  Thank you to the developers for a great app.

One great feature is that one license gets Yomu on my iMac, MacBook, iPhone and iPad, and keeps my books synchronized between all four!
