got it the 25th march 2024 and today i earnt enough points for a £50 gift card! i chose primark and it said it would take 3-4 days but i got the card within 5 minutes which was awesome! the surveys aren’t too long, the longest i ever did was 25 minutes but only took around 15, where as there are others that are only around two minutes, the longer the more points though! i’d defo recommend getting
App buggy
Great app layout, however when I try to take the initial survey, it sends me straight back to the home page of the app meaning I can’t progress to new surveys.
Can’t register
Cannot register using any email. Says sending verification codes and never arrived. No junk or spam.
APP NO LONGER WORKING
The app is no longer working so I logged out and when I tried to log back in an error message appeared when I entered the code stating sorry somethings gone wrong.
PLEASE FIX.
Spend a year doing surveys then you can’t cash out!
No complaints about the app, but it’s incredibly frustrating when you’ve spent so long doing the surveys and then it won’t let you redeem your £50! Have contacted the support twice and had no response. I certainly won’t be doing anymore of these surveys!
Wouldn’t accept my DOB
Been doing surveys on YouGov for ages and finally today I done my last one and could actually claim the £50…..getting excited I opted for it to be sent to my bank account, but it said my DOB was invalid and I tried again but still wouldn’t work….so I clicked on google play and did that which I have received it,wasn’t until I realised I can’t use google play as I can only use Apple Pay so now I’m stuck with a voucher, emailed the person in question, was as much use as a chocolate fireguard……so YouGov I won’t be wasting my time again doing these when it was down to your end that it wouldn’t accept my dob on the form
Frustrating
Summary:
Surveys are repetitive.
Treats anyone under 18 like a toddler.
Logs you out and the code never arrives at your email.
Extended Rant:
To start with, the surveys aren't even that good. It's often given me the same survey over and over and over that takes about 10 minutes to do, as if they're not really even trying to properly collect data. Other times it feels like they're really trying to lead me to an answer, or the question seems a bit dodgy. On top of that, because I'm under 18, some of the surveys are so childish and patronising that it seems they have no distinction between ‘I’m nearly 17’ and ‘I’ve just turned 10 and my favourite show is Paw Patrol’, which results in some of the most brain-numbing surveys I have ever taken.
Finally, the cherry on the cake, it has happened twice where I haven't used the app for an extended period of time (I wonder why) and it has logged me out. No problem, if it weren't for the terrible method they use to log you back in. No password, no that would be far too simple, instead they send a code to your email that helpfully never arrives. Because of this, I’ve had to make a new account, and so have lost around 3500 points overall.
Great app, a reflection on how our government is doing overall. Sort it out, for your sakes.
Don’t click back!
Terrible UX. There is no option to “go back” to a previous question. If you click the massive back button, it takes you out of the questionnaire and to the homepage with no way of going back to the questionnaire that you just filled out 30-odd answers for, and there’s no way of returning to the quiz or knowing whether the answers you just gave have been properly submitted, meaning you won’t receive the points! Very frustrating.
The good reviews are people looking for more points
Just before i get into this the reviews are all FAKE just so you can get points for leaving a good review. now Downloaded It A Week Ago I Had Lots Of Surveys And I Also Connected My Bank Accounts Using You GovFinance Site And Got 1,500 Points For Adding 3 Accounts (YouGov Finance only works on some browser so had to download a browser app). Anyways Im On 2,220 Points Now After Doing More Surveys, This Week I Had Rarely Any Surveys So I Started Doing Polls (for free) In Hope That I Would Get Some, Usually Around 8pm I Get A Notification Saying Paid Survey Available But When I Click It There Is None. I’m Quite Upset That They Lowered My Survey Count As I Was Soo 3-4 Surveys Away From Getting My £50 😡😡. My Advice Will Be Do The YouGov Finance And Add Your Banking Details, ( you gov finance is online so there is no app) If You Add Everyone Banking In You House Hold You Might Just Get 2k Points And Then You Can Wait another 90 days for another 2k points or do some surveys to get to 5k points. Also I Heard People Get Suspended After Nearly Reaching To The 5k (£50) Mark.
Lack of surveys
I’ve always really enjoyed using this app, however there is a real lack of surveys now - I get about 1 a month so it hardly seems worth carrying on with it.
