## YoungPlanet Description
Join 100,000+ parents using YoungPlanet to find and give secondhand children’s things for FREE.
Available across the UK.

Most of the things our children want are sat in someone else’s cupboard or loft
not being used. According to The British Heart Foundation, children have an
average of four toys they’ve never even played with – which could add up to as
many as 162 million unused toys in the UK.

So we don't need new; we need to get things moving

Helping parents declutter, give joy & save the planet, YoungPlanet is an app that
enables parents to put no-longer-used children's things to good use with new
families and away from landfill.

Here’s how it works:

Download the app and register an account, or sign in with Facebook.

Finding things:

1. Tap the search bar to find what you’re looking for by keyword or category
2. Filter your search by location and/or listing date
3. Like favourite items you wish to come back to later
4. Request an item to start a chat with the owner and arrange a collection or delivery
5. Meet other parents in your community :)

Giving things:

1. Register your account or login with Facebook
2. Tap the big “plus” icon, add an image, short title and description... and that’s it!
3. Wait for your item to be requested then chat with the other parent to arrange delivery/collection

## YoungPlanet Reviews in United Kingdom

### ***** "Great for the environment"
Fantastic idea, helps declutter whilst keeping things out of landfills! Have also met some lovely people through the app!
-- Shadowjalz., 2022-09-15

### *---- "Unfortunately doesn’t work for me"
Cannot enter item’s name or description
-- IrynaMe, 2022-09-07

### *---- "Bugs"
App is glitchy, can’t upload any content,
-- **rashers, 2022-08-08

### **--- "Good idea, not enough people"
The idea behind this app is really good. However, there isn't enough people using it and absolutely no one local (first match by distance in my case is around 100miles).
It states it won't cost me a penny, but just preparing a parcel and taking it to a post office (or similar arrangement) takes time, at the very least. Not sure if it's worth it.
-- PimkinDesu, 2022-04-14

### *---- "Insists you add a profile pic - then won’t let you"
The buttons to add a profile pic are bugged and don’t work, and couldn’t create an account without it. 5 minutes of life I’ll never get back.
-- Han.1235, 2022-04-08

### ****- "Won’t let me upload images"
This app will not let me upload images but will let me take a photo
-- paigetobin, 2022-03-23

### **--- "Says I have messages when I don’t"
Says I have messages when I don’t I’ve requested an item talked to owner and message isn’t showing I have to go to likes to find and click request button to access messages I’ve sent to seller it needs an update to fix these bugs badly
-- Hopalongfluffy, 2022-03-16

### *---- "Not good"
Registered, set up and when I try to log in it keeps telling me something is going wrong. Not good
-- sssdddxxxxx, 2022-01-17

### ***-- "Slow"
The app is extremely slow which is making me not want to use it.
-- Adam--L, 2021-06-07

### *---- "Can’t use"
Really want to use this app but when I click the verification link in the email, it just takes me back to the app store. Please please please fix
