No advance filtering
Because it is simply a playback platform for Apple TV. For how long it’s been around it’s embarrassing that the app still does not offer advanced filtering options to search by date, length, etc… When I search specific videos I am usually searching for most recent or from a specific period, e.g. if I want to see travel videos of a certain city during a specific time of the year. Instead I get an insanely wide range from recents to a decade old in no specific order of recency. Otherwise the app is fine and I guess I can do it on my phone and add to my watchlist but why would I want todo things on my small screen only to do it again on the big screen. The idea is to use one screen to get the job done not multiple screens or platforms like desktop vs Apple TV app. I feel like this fix is long overdue, don’t you?
