New Yr on iPhone and iPad is different from anything else you’ve seen in weather forecasting: Scroll through a beautiful and animated sky to see how the weather changes hourly, and get all the need-to-know details at the same time. And if there will be rainfall within the next 90 minutes we'll let you know through our now-cast.
The weather visualization makes it a fun experience to check the weather – even when it’s raining!
Check details day by day and hour by hour in the long-term forecast, or study the details in the graph.
Under "Around you" you get an overview of air pollution, pollen spread and UV forecast, as well as the latest weather observations in your area.
Forecasts are delivered by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute.

Used to be great
My Yr app randomly changed from English to Norwegian. I cannot figure out how to change it back. App used to be great and I used it often until the unexplained change in language
Best one
I have downloaded a lot of weather apps to try get ahead of the extreme weather we experience. I even paid for one that claimed to be accurate. None are sadly, it’s a hard thing to predict. Yr however continues to be the fav for me and the most accurate even over the ones I’ve paid for. I Love the graph, makes it easy to see and access the coming day.
Accurate and easy to use
I love how this Norwegian weather app has become so popular in NZ. The interface is clean and there are no annoying adds. I would love to see a surface pressure map (synoptic chart) added but otherwise I have no complaints.
Best Weather App for NZ
This is by far the best weather app for New Zealand. It’s extremely accurate and has zero ads. Added bonus of great widgets. I can’t recommend this app more!
More wrong than most
Less than average forecasting. Mostly computer generated models with no information on where weather stations are. Pretty pictures for city folk that can’t read a weather map. No actual information apart from weather emojis.
New Sky, Table, Graph tab
Love your app, thumbs down to this new tab - it was always available if we needed it - now it just takes up realestate on the table view so this screen can’t be viewed without scrolling - dumb
Missing precipitation bar chart
I’ve noticed that in the graph view, the precipitation bar chart is no longer displayed. I found this incredibly useful as you could easily see how much rain to expect at a glance. Would it be possible to have this feature restored please? Otherwise this app is excellent. Forecasts are accurate in NZ (something that seems to be rare), and the forecasts are presented in a very easy to read, intuitive format.
Aesthetically pleasing
Splendid. An accurate, well throughout and intuitive weather app. Scandinavian aesthetics at their best.
Great app
This is by far the best weather app on iPhone. The interface is really good - it's easy to understand and use, yet displays all key information. (This is where other weather apps fail.) And it's accurate. Great!
