With a few taps, book an On-Request ride in the app and our technology will pair you with the closest vehicle to bring you to your location. How it works: - Book a ride on your phone - Get picked up at your curb - Save money by paying with PRESTO, YRT Pay App or Transit App - Get dropped off at your chosen location within the service area or the closest bus stop where you can use your two-hour transfer on other YRT routes What we’re about: CONVENIENCE Don’t live close to a transit stop? No problem. We can pick you up and get you connected to local transit in your area, all in one fare. AFFORDABLE. Discounted YRT fares are offered through the PRESTO card, YRT Pay App or Transit App. You can use your transfer on any YRT route for two hours. SUSTAINABLE. Public transit reduces the number of vehicles on the roads, bringing down congestion and CO2 emissions. I tried to book an on-request through the app and it would not let me because there is a “set route”. Yeah there is a bus, the thing is it’s a 13 minute walk which is what I was trying to avoid. Might try via calling but it’s pointless to say you can book via the app and then have the app tell me that actually I can’t because there is a bus that’s a 13 minute walk away from me.
