## YRT On Description
YRT On-Request is a reimagined way to get around York Region — a ridesharing service that’s smart, easy, affordable, and green. You can book a ride between your home and the closest YRT bus stop or preselected location in your service area.

With a few taps, book an On-Request ride in the app and our technology will pair you with the closest vehicle to bring you to your location.

How it works:
- Book a ride on your phone
- Get picked up at your curb
- Save money by paying with PRESTO, YRT Pay App or Transit App
- Get dropped off at your chosen location within the service area or the closest bus stop where you can use your two-hour transfer on other YRT routes

What we’re about:

CONVENIENCE
Don’t live close to a transit stop? No problem. We
can pick you up and get you connected to local
transit in your area, all in one fare.

AFFORDABLE.
Discounted YRT fares are offered through the
PRESTO card, YRT Pay App or Transit App. You
can use your transfer on any YRT route for two
hours.

SUSTAINABLE.
Public transit reduces the number of vehicles on the
roads, bringing down congestion and CO2
emissions. With a few taps, you get to do your part
to make your community a little bit greener and
cleaner, every time you ride.

For Paratransit, seniors with disability need to go to hospital please allow them average travel distance which is 30km; my elderly father has to get off midway with his walker and call me to book uber for the other half (maybe limit to once a week usage for 30 KM please for medical reason) - currently there is a limit of 20km for paratransit - maybe allow them to travel within york region & charge a bit more. Thank you.

It leaves before you even step out of your house or would park somewhere else that’s further from you so you won’t even find it. They don’t wait for you long like how the Uber does. It doesn’t matter if you got places to go, you should always wait for the person that wants a ride.  uber apps are even way better than this. Idc if it’s only $4.00

On time driver, polite. Very helpful, takes care of my Walker placing it in the trunk and then ensures that I am safely seated and buckled in.  I couldn’t be more pleased with this service.  It’s just terrific.

To actually get a ride on this app, you need to stay up till midnight two days prior to when you want to get a ride in the morning. Also, the warnings that it gives you for timing arrival of your ride are also bogus because a 15 minute warning is actually really only four.
The drivers and the cars are great when you can finally get in them, but the app is horrible .

They either come too late or too early and don’t have enough drivers to make up for that. For example when I book a ride to work at 10am they usually arrive 10-20 minutes after that scheduled time. And if they arrive early, they leave and cancel your ride, then the next ride you try to book comes about 30 minutes later.

Update: 
Now as of recently, there have been NO times available to book a ride before or after work!! HIRE MORE DRIVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the most ridiculous, unprofessional business of all time.

Great service but I would try to book people together to not waste time and gas for drivers. There was a pickup at my stop 20 minutes before my pickup. I could have joined the earlier pickup to not waste time. Other than that I found my driver to be very nice and was very happy with the service.

Nice cute layout of the app, but when I was trying to book a ride for 1:45, it wasn’t allowing me to because there was a bus available for 2:14… that’s almost a 30 minute difference, I ended up having to take the bus and I was 15 minutes late to work.
