What if we change the rules for the second turn? On the second turn, you get +1 draw for every 5 special summons the first player performed. Many players just surrender when they go second and don't have any hand traps. Even if you do have hand traps, they're often not enough. After using them, you're usually left with only two cards against a full board of disruptions. Because of that, it's very common to just surrender rather than wait for your opponent to finish their combo. Even for the first player, it's not enjoyable when the opponent surrenders so quickly.

Each turn takes a billion years with the opponent summoning an obscene number of monsters, whose total attack points, by the way, IS ALREADY TWICE THE AMOUNT OF LP A PLAYER HAS. It’s like I can already end you by clicking battle and attack, BUT NO, I will perform 10 more tributes. It’s LITERALLY taking the excitement out of duel monsters. You’re not into ugly modern-looking half-baked illustrated cards? Well, too bad, BECAUSE THEY CAN WIN THE MATCH IN A SINGLE TURN. Pffft.
