Entertaining game, but unfortunately dishonorable developmental company
They get a star because the game is fairly entertaining, but they don’t get the other 4 stars because they intentionally deceive players. For example, throughout the game if something says you have a 75% chance of successfully accomplishing an upgrade (engine upgrade system), you are likely to win 3/4 of the time, as one would expect. However there is a copilot system where you can train the copilot to reduce the cooldown time where there’s some unknown number of times you have try. It says 75% chance of success. I gave up after 10+ attempts and spending thousands on gems (which don’t accumulate quickly when you aren’t spending money on the game), with no success. I reached out to support to express my concern in a respectful manner because I didn’t know if there was a glitch. The entirety of my portion of the interaction is included below: Me: “Is it no longer possible to reduce the cooldown time of the copilot? I’ve spent over 4000 gems [I think it was over 10000, actually] to get copilots to sell for medals to train the copilot and although it says I have a 75% chance at success, the cooldown time is still 60% [typo, meant seconds, not %] because nothing has succeeded. [Dev response]… Me: “The system says a 75% success rate (see screenshot above [not included in this review]). I’ve tried more than 10 times. 75% means 3 out of 4 tries are a successful. So since 75% is not anywhere near accurate, that should be changed to 10% or 1% or 0.1% or whatever the actual chance of success is” Dev: “We understand your mood and desire. However, the success rate when upgrading COPilot is calculated on a fairly large model and has been carefully calculated by the system, so you may not be lucky in this upgrade. Hope you sympathize and try to upgrade at a different time. Wish you will successfully upgrade Copilot desired. Thank you” Needless to say, there is no mention of the “fairly large model” anywhere in the game and it is a clear deviation of their standard with other parts of the game that deliver on the stated 75% chance of success. There are other examples, but I’ll simply say to the developers that I have spent money on games to support the company, but will never spend a penny on a company that does not display honor. Hope you sympathize.
