This news app used to be a brilliantly usable app, but the current version is absolute rubbish.

It’s been a year since any feedback was posted - why? I’m guessing because the formatting problems haven’t been fixed. This app is almost unreadable on an iPad.

This is the first time I’ve written a review based on an app, and I’m only compelled to do so due to how frustrating and irritating the app is to use. It doesn’t seem to respond to rotation changes and even when in portrait mode (which it seems to only respond to), the layout is completely off. Most of the screen on the ipad is blank apart from a small column shifted over to the right of the screen. I’m not an app developer, but I’m sure it can’t be that hard to spend a few hours on correcting it and making it nice to use…

Landscape workaround found is click on the menu and news all and it enables landscape mode. However, the screen is still not adjustable to IPad and it’s half size only and the top menu bar is oversize and goes all to outside the screen. No adjust option found yet. Looks like no user testing done on IPad

Hopeless app, freezes often.

For an organisation taking millions, you really need to update the app regularly, as Apple is making the app a dinosaur in appearance

Everyone, if you're reading this review, save yourselves time and energy and just add the 1news website to your home screen (you can do this on Safari). The web version has it all - reading list, SEARCH, landscape... None of which this app has. It's been a disappointing ride, TVNZ. I'll still read your news just not as often. Thanks bye!
