Useless
Pretty much useless. After blocking an ad, it just keeps coming back when refreshing a page. What’s the point of Adguard when it’s not doing its job?
Love it.
This app does what it says it will do and well. I also purchased their VPN and together they are doing a great job.
Used to be great
This app used to be great blocking all kinds of banners and pop-ups on iOS. It has basically become useless recently. The one area does well as blocking adult content. But as far as ads on apps or websites… Basically useless.
Not Blocked
Hasn’t blocked anything in thirty days!
Great, good, ok, not so good…
Update 11/23/24 - taking away stars again. Disable adblocking popups getting through now. What is happening to this app? I may need to find a better one soon I’ve been a long time user and it used to be great. Recently, with the new updates, there seem to be ads getting through. Not sure what has happened but this app has become steadily worse over time. Really a bummer because I love this app.
Weird Updating
Great at what it does. I use AdGuard Pro along with others and never see any issues with Safari. I have found though that, for whatever reason, it doesn’t show up for automatic updates or even in the list that it needs updating. I have to search specifically for AdGuard Pro in the App Store to check if it even needs an update.
This is the one you want
Good ad blocker for iOS. I’ve tried many of them. I like how you can do pseudo DNS filtering on the phone too. The desktop “Adguard for safari” is good too. Personally I found the “Adguard for Mac” more involved than what most users would need so I hope they continue the development of the safari only extension.

AdGuard
I’ve been having trouble with so many ads that I decided to buy this Pro version to block ads. Also YouTube got rid of my skip button and I’ve had 2 and sometimes 3 four minute ads at a time pop up on my videos. This is very annoying. The only thing I’ve noticed after turning everything on in settings is I now have the skip button back.
