The customer service is so poor even the host of the property is so irresponsive. I had a medical emergency at my place so I have cancelled my trip 5 days prior. I wanted my full amount to be refunded but the host was so rude and irresponsible they didn't consider my request. They have kept my 17k as a cancellation amount. Even the customer service is so bad they do not understand my concern and not helping me at all. Airbnb is charging a huge of service charge for what doing nothing. Such a bad experience for a big brand.

I had a very bad experience with this app.I tried to book a property, completed the payment, and only then was I asked for verification. I understand that verification is necessary for customer safety and record-keeping, but my verification got canceled 2-3 times for some reason, and each time, I had to pay the property charges again. Eventually, I booked the property using my friend’s account, but when I arrived, the host said the property was already booked. I tried to contact cc but didn’t get any response from there.

Undoubtedly the best app. The very concept of Airbnb - from privacy to guest & host protection, is just awesome.

Their Air cover policy doesn’t cover the cancellation if you leave the Airbnb if it is dusty and dirty. Even if the linen is dirty. They will not issue a refund if the sofas are broken and dusty and the fans and AC’s are covered in dust.

We had booked a place called Eli's kitchen in Mahabalipuram. We saw the photos online and booked the place. But when we went there, we were shocked. There was no way to reach that place by car. It was a shabby smelly shack near the beach. The rooms smelled of mould and cigarettes. The bathroom was so tiny barely a person could stand in it and has no geyser. The kitchen had no stove or other provisions. We wanted to cancel and tried to talk to our host regarding the same. But she was so rude and unprofessional, she refused to help us out. We simply left as the place was not fit for staying even for a single day. Have been trying to reach Airbnb helpline regarding the same but no proper response. I don't understand how Airbnb allows such scammers on their app. Really disappointed.

And they have no fix

I have booked 2 available rooms by paying money upfront but got cancelled by owner and me waiting here from 12 days to get refund, i paid in seconds and waiting these many days for refund is the worst situation

The booking searches and payment process did not ever mention that verification is mandatory. After all efforts went into selecting on different platforms and discussing all details with host, the payment was deducted (even though it said that it will not be deducted till verification) and this is when I was informed that verification is mandatory (for first time). I uploaded the ID and it got rejected and the booking was cancelled without any intimation. Then tried verification again and again but failed with each ID type available. All banking apps and money transfer apps have my verified profiles but Airbnb is special. Not suitable for common people like us! Pathetic experience. Poor process. Unjustified platform fee of 15%!!!
