We booked this Superhost property expecting a safe, family-friendly stay for our two young children. The photos looked appealing, but the neighborhood felt unsafe from day one. Inside, many advertised amenities didn’t work or were outright fake, and the narrow, steep stairs made maneuvering a stroller a daily struggle. Most disturbing was the host’s behavior on our final night: he knocked loudly on our door and confronted us in person with upsetting, inappropriate comments—an experience no guest should endure, especially with kids inside. All issues should have been handled through Airbnb’s messaging system, not by an in-person confrontation that left us frightened. We contacted Airbnb immediately, but it took over 24 hours to get any response. After multiple calls and emails, they refunded just €460, even though we checked out two weeks early for safety reasons and incurred significant hotel costs ourselves. This stay was stressful, unsafe, and poorly managed. I no longer trust Airbnb for family travel and cannot recommend this platform to anyone with young children.

Fui injustamente acusado de algo que não fiz, e o Airbnb escolheu apoiar o anfitrião. O suporte ao cliente foi inútil e deixou claro que a plataforma se preocupa mais em proteger os anfitriões do que em garantir justiça aos hóspedes. Não recomendo e provavelmente não voltarei a usar a app!

Why did you remove an amazing feature, please bring it back!

What is the purpose of having an app if you cannot ensure that users can access it. Verification codes never reach mobile phones, and the only option is the SMS. Zero help and support!!! You just have to try your luck every 24 hours because there is a maximum confirmation attempts allowed.

If you have booked a short term stay in New York , you will likely be canceled a couple of days before your departure, as it happened to me . Airbnb support confirmed these stays are not allowed by law and hence they are cancelling trips late minute . Good luck to find an hotel within your budget Unbelievable that an app such as Airbnb cannot enforce a law in proper time .

I was happy with this service as long as I didn’t need any help. Ones I needed to contact them I understood that this is their week point. I had to explain what the problem is in a text message then they connected me with a person and I needed to write the explanation from the beginning. Then it was not the right person and I had the retext my explanation to the third person. I have my real job and couldn’t take their calls, but they were calling over and over despite I had initially chose the way of communication - text messaging. Problem remained unsolved.

As a host airbnb has absolutely appalling customer service. It’s taken 5 weeks to we’re still unable to get a manager on the phone to handle a reimbursement request. Will be moving to booking.com

I opened my Airbnb account from Luxembourg. I was able to verify my ID but could not add my phone number (never received verification code). I raised ticket and after multiple follow up, different person attended my ticket and sadly they took 7+ days to check multiple things. Even after all that they were not able to solve the problem and finally closed my ticket without any resolution. That is just pure unprofessional.
