Airbnb

I had an experience where the host has charged me $600 for a TV which she claims that I broke but in reality it was already broken from the start. I’m from the philippines and the airbnb that I got is from new jersey so there’s no way of proving myself since I’m so far away. Now the app has been asking me for proofs such as photos which I didn’t have since I HAVE NO IDEA THAT THE HOST CAN ACCUSE ME OF SOMETHING THAT I NEVER DID. So I just want to warn people that if you’ll continue using this app is ALWAYS TAKE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF THE HOUSE SINCE THE HOST CAN SCAM YOU AND GET MONEY FROM YOU THROUGH THIS APP. The airbnb support cannot help you once you’re in my situation.

good app

Compared to the old version of this app, this one gives a limited option for a place to stay in specific areas. Most of the time if you search for the name of a certain place, it won’t show up. Good thing I’m still able to use the old version of the app on a different phone.

I cannot access the chats the same I easily could using a desk top. It’s not loading. I always have the need to open my laptop just to access my transactions with airbnb.

Not sure why the app is asking me for billing information to download.

We booked an airbnb on april 9 at around 9pm for a stay on apri 10-14. Payment was already collected from us thru gcash. Apparently the host is given 24 hrs to confirm our reservation. Host never confirmed and there is no way for us to reach him. We were traveling on a budget. We ended with no place to stay because our refund took 15 days. Be careful when booking with Airbnb. Their reservation policies are not guest friendly. Customer service representative named Alyssa was also very sarcastic and was not helpful. Airbnb should took into their reservation policies so that no traveler will experience what we had to go thru.

Don’t use this app, they could not even arrange a refund process, when a host charged me of a reservation that i cancelled. Also, host tends to transaction with you outside the app, after you eventually processed a payment on your end through the app, then host will ask you to pay outside the app again. Like seriously.

Backwards, requires mobilenumber but 24 hour lockout for request OTP that i cant receive.

I’m a Superhost in this app and I called their customer service to assist me removing the review from the guest about the shower stating that it doesn’t have hot water. Guest stayed in my unit for 4 days and 3 nights without contacting me about the heater of the shower. When I called their customer service they put me on hold several times telling me that there’s no option from them to remove the review of my previous guest, knowing that comment might affect my future bookings. My shower has has a heater also, the faucet in my sink has hot and cold. Airbnb didn’t even gave me a chance to justify my concern about the feedback of my guest. Terrible service.

Not so good customer service. They even delete our review due to their policy even it was a first hand experience. That would be my first and last. So good luck!
