Highly recommended this great platform for tasks you can’t do yourself - a winner !

The "app" takes at least a third of the total cost as fees. I had a task at $315 and was charged $39.50 airtasker fee. The tasker was charged over 20% as well - total charge of well over 35%. Ridiculous for providing what is essentially a tradie booking service. How can airtasker contracts be competitive against standard tradie arrangements. It never used to be so expensive to use airtasker. I can't see it surviving at the commission costs.

Great in principle and good app functionality. Unfortunately, when something goes wrong (work isn’t carried out as agreed etc) Airtasker basically wash their hands of any responsibilities. They can’t reverse any payments and even refused to forgo their “connection fee” when my tasker turned out to be a fraudulent scammer. Shame because it would be a great platform otherwise.

Not good. They let me do the jobs now won’t pay. But they got paid a week ago by the lovely clients I worked for. And the fee they take is way too high. 30% of every job these guys are taking millions and don’t even have a number to call to get help. Absolutely rubbish.

Very hard to quote on jobs when details can’t be exchanged so you can actually have a look and quote it correctly. Have told them this multiple times yet nothing is being done about it. Also now being taxed on all jobs so alot of jobs not really worth it as people expect the jobs for nothing as it is.

Repeatedly sent emails and am getting ignored by Airtasker. They take 22% of what you earn and but when you need their help they ignore you. Very poor customer service. Need help desperately.

I have had problems with Trades People not showing up for the job at the last minute. So I reschedule. Then the Trades Person does not show up again and they cancel at the last minute,because they have made some up unprofessional excuse. Then I try to re-advertise for a new trades person and there is no straightforward pathway to do this? And I get charged for the cancellation fee?? When the Trades Person canceled. So in this situation the App is not friendly at all.

Syed did a great job with my tv cabinet. He came on time, very patient and efficient in his work. His offer was also affordable and reasonable. I highly recommend his service and will definitely book him again.

Yesterday late afternoon I posted aa task to Airtasker, less then 24 hours later the job has been accomplished with swift and friendly service .

Airtasker takes 22% plus adds another connection fee, so if you get a job quoted at $100, the worker is paid 78 and Airtasker receives $35.15, Originally I wanted the job done for $65 It cost me $135.15 plus a $10 tip Won’t be using them again. If a job is up near 500 or 1000 Airtasker receives more than they deserve, if there is a problem with the job, it’s out of their hands, they will not help with any disputes. Daylight tech robbery!!
