## Altimeter+ Description
The Altimeter+ altimeter calculates the altitude of your current location via a GPS, Aster or barometer measurement (for iPhone 6 and later). In addition to this, the app also provides an average calculation of GPS and ASTER altitude data as well as an integral map which shows peaks, a compass and a distance grid.

Most probably one of the best altimeter apps available. But, the readability is not good. The app should get an alternative view with large numbers showing the altitude. The altimeter watch design is too tiny and not very practical at all.

I have been using this app for the last week as a backup to my real altimeter. I was very suprised how accurate the values were to my actual altimeter with only a 15+- difference in feet.

Best altimeter app I have tested. Much more precise measurements than GPS based apps, because it uses another technique. 
Five stars for the previous version, only four for the last (v. 2.0): The app size has tripled, presumably because of an animated globe and an "airplane-instrument-looking", unprecise altimeter (in addition to the good old digital display that fortunately has been kept). OK, these additions look quite nice, but they are completely uninteresting. I suggest they be removed. 
In addition, the icon has been changed, which is just confusing.
