Tested the app on the ground floor outside the block of flats and 5 floors up on the balcony. There was no difference in altitude reading even though I swiped up the app to fully close it and reopened it again. The app states that the altitude reading variation can be 1-3m but I went much higher and it still showed same reading.

Quick to use to pinpoint where on a slope you, for turning off at the elevation shown on the map.

There’s something reassuring about knowing one’s altitude at any given time, especially if you’re like me and can’t swim…🤭

If what you want is a simple, nicely designed app to show you your altitude with no other distractions or unnecessary information, look no further - this is it. The only improvement I would suggest, is for it to be released for iPad. It would make the perfect addition to a car navigation app like Magic Earth, in Slide Over form. Hope that’s not too much to hope for?!
