Amazon Alexa

It is unbelievable how "stupid" this thing is in the age of AI-s. I purchased 4 devices (3 echo shows and one dot) The app is telling me they are all disconnected. After reset (unplug - replug), they are connected... For a random period of times. ( Fixed ip have given to all of them...) But the worst... The parental control... Set up bedtime (to limit the usage) to 20:00 but the stupid device is happily playing the Amazon stories at 20:15... Now I have 3 digital clocks with built in speakers and a Bluetooth speaker... What a deal.

Alexa responds but won’t play

Can’t say that I’m very impressed with this App. Constantly doesn’t load up, and is forever not responding. Have deleted and reinstalled several times and have come to the conclusion I’m better off getting rid of my Alexa speaker. Amazon, you should be able to do much better than this.

My Alexa app turned to Japanese this week, cant download skill or ask for help on app. Everything is in Japanese.

Brilliant ability to play radio stations.

This would be the most frustrating device to try and set up. We are returning the device to the shop as cannot get it to play local radio stations. Have read a lot of negative reviews for the same reason and just wish I had read them before purchasing

It’s a great app but it doesn’t have nz time on it

I got used to sleep with rain sound playing in loop all night long, but I’m currently experiencing problems with it. It plays for a while, maybe a few minutes and then suddenly stops. I checked the internet connection and the spotify app and is all working well so I guess the problem could be Alexa
