It works ok generally. Good product range. Just a bit disappointed in the customer service chat. I had initiated a chat, got push notifications and when I clicked on the push notification I got taken somewhere and couldn’t find the messages and have no idea how to find that existing message thread ..
Annoying payment system
Not sure why but Amazon does not take payment at the time of ordering, they do it much later when the item actually ships. This is incredibly annoying when you assign funds in your debit card for the purchase and then Amazon doesn’t withdraw the funds……. I will be shopping else where due to this annoying process, you should be able to pay for the order immediately via debit card not a week later - I can’t believe Amazon does this…… huge ecommerce and has the most clunky payment system..
Unethical and Dishonest service
After thorough research, I purchased a product from New Zealand that turned out to be much smaller than expected. Initially, I considered returning it, but decided to keep it and give it a try. Unfortunately, after just two uses, it stopped working.
When I first contacted customer service, I was told it would cost $20 USD to return the product, with the promise of a refund once the product reached the warehouse. I confirmed multiple times that the return fee was $20, and each time I received the same response. Someone was supposed to pick up the product within 2-3 business days.
After a week with no pickup, I contacted customer service again. This time, I spoke with a different representative—a woman—who informed me I had been given incorrect information and that I needed to visit a courier office to send it back myself. The return cost would be reimbursed.
When I visited the courier office, I discovered that the return cost would exceed the original purchase price. The courier company deemed it worthless to send back.
Frustrated, I contacted customer service a third time. This time, the representative suggested using a more expensive courier service like DHL, which was four times the cost.
On my fourth attempt, another customer service agent told me they could only refund up to $20 USD. I was required to cover the return shipping costs myself.
What is the point of purchasing a product if the return process ends up costing more than the product itself?
I considered getting the product fixed by a local electrical technician, but they advised against it, stating that the parts for the Aroma brand are not easily available and I would likely just lose the assessment fee.
This experience reflects a lack of honesty and ethical responsibility.
Amazon is a scam and is not recommended—especially for Kiwis.

Amazon is a good on line store. I use the USA store as its has more of the things I’m after. You have to be aware to set your price to your country currency. And always cheek the freight cost. Write you buy especially on large items. Other then that. Easy as pie.

Great app, great service … but
I unfortunately cannot take up any of Amazon’s special Prime offers because I live in NZ 👹 Other than that it’s been a great buyer’s experience so far, after several years I can only say positive things.
Site can be okay.
Used the site on & off for years.
Been awhile since ordered anything via amazon & placed a large book order however one part of package never arrived.
Its the couriers 9/10 & their services that give this site a bad reputation but that doesn't stop amazon from basically blaming you for something you have no control over.
Have been given a warning for something that isn't even my fault yet amazon have threaten to ban me when they really need to sort out their courier issues and realize its their actions not the consumer.
They block you
Have had to access chat a number of times re Amazon saying they have shipped goods then they cancell for unknown reason and they don't seem to be able to fix problem so they have blocked me from chat they aren't as good as they make out. Incidentally this is Amazon USA
