The user interface of the app for e Checkin is terribly buggy and barely usable.
Doesn’t allow me to plan or modify travel. Chat support is worthless. I’m better off texting my 10 year old and having them log into my account to rebook me. Can’t tell what’s more disappointing, the technology investment or the personnel helping the traveler. The most urgent requests during business hours are replied to after business hours, giving me answers a day late and with a fee for them not acknowledging until after hours with a “see gate agent” reply.
The new homescreen is great! Love being able to scroll through my upcoming trips right on the first screen. And chat is still just a tap away to get me out of any travel bind!
This app has not worked for months on my iPhone and customer support is horrible. I have called several times about my issue as I need this app for my work. I get told every single time that it has to be escalated and I will hear back in 24 hours. Hopefully a negative review will get this resolved as I don’t know what else to do.
AMEX global business app and customer service barely passes for customer service…. I have been stuck in an airport 2 times now in the last 6 months and couldn’t get in touch with with an AMEX agent via either chat or phone. That’s after multiple HOURS or trying…. Find a different travel partner and save yourself the heartache
Last two releases have a defect where if itineraries are added to Apple calendar it does so assuming UTC +0 is your timezone. The result, all calendar entries are incorrect and off by the number of hours your timezone is offset from zero. Quite frustrating.

What good is the app if it won’t accept my login credentials? I can log in and out of the website on my computer just fine, but when I try to log in with the same exact information in the app, it tells me it’s wrong. I tried to contact support and they marked my issue as resolved without even trying anything. The app is unusable, I’m not sure how it has such a high rating
You send me a text (3 times) offering an agent to help with a delayed flight and I reply yes (3 times) - then nobody contacts me….
What a crappy app for a company like AMEX. Wow - interface is terrible, non responsive and truly make the customer experience worse— way to go AMEX. So the chat doesn’t work , no number provided and then it hangs endlessly saying there is no internet connectivity when literally everything else on my phone is working. In case of emergency? God help you. Really AMEX common and do this right - wish I could have my company love to someone else.
