Amey's Greenwood Taxi Ltd. is the leading provider of taxi services in Kingston, Ontario Canada. 
We are pleased to offer our valued clients the very latest in smartphone booking technology with our free Amey's Taxi application.

Key Features of the Amey's Taxi application include:
• Book a reservation in as few as 3 clicks
• Get a fare estimate by entering both pickup and destination addresses
• Receive a confirmation number for your reservation immediately on booking
• Receive notifications including vehicle number once your reservation has been dispatched
• Monitor the progress of your vehicle on a map
• Create a list of favourite addresses and assign a custom name for each
• Specify the number of passengers, vehicle type and preferred payment method
• Review all reservations you have made over the past 30 days
• Provide feedback related to the application and/or service you received
• Call Amey's Taxi with the push of a button



To begin using the Amey's Taxi application today:
• Download the free app
• Enter your phone number
• Validate your account (via the notification code you receive)
• Login to the app (Set your name and Email for receipts)
• Enter your pickup address
• Enter your destination address (this allows us to provide an estimated fare amount)
• Book your trip (reservations can be immediate or for a future time/date)

On booking a reservation, you will immediately receive a confirmation number, along with an update when your vehicle has been assigned.
From here you can monitor the progress of your vehicle as it moves towards your pickup location.

The Amey's Taxi application retains a history of your previous reservations for expense management and to quickly rebook the same trip with the push of a button. 
You may also create a list of favourite locations (Home, Work, etc.) to speed the booking process.

Been using this app for a year with no issues. Now it won’t allow me to pay through the app or even book a ride unless I say pay in car. This would be fine for most people except for the fact that I’m overly anxious and easily stressed out by basic things like paying in car. Please get this working again.

I love the ability to schedule a ride with the app; it is the only one in Kingston, that I know of. However, as other users have indicated, the app is buggy. It still won’t let me enter a tip of any kind and the inability to reschedule a trip when my train is going to depart a bit later is frustrating. This is largely mitigated by the call button in the app that takes me directly to Amy’s, but it is still a bug that should be fixed.

I needed a cab to get to an appointment due to an injury and I was unable to drive. Amy’s was there when I needed them fast clean and got me to my appointment on time . I pre booked and they arrived when I needed them. Thanks .

Went to get a cab I was a minute away and the guy went to my destination instead of pick up spot so I messaged him and asked to meet at a different location he drove right pass me and went pass my pick up location called them and guy made it seem like my fault ordered another one waited 10 minutes called and ask why I was still waiting I see 3 cabs he was like 1 one those was the driver you didn’t want so made me wait cause I asked for a new driver who knew what he was doing so waited over 10 minutes for another cab off the app it came before the cab I called

Logs you out every time you use it and the password recovery option doesn’t work. Obviously made by an amateur programmer who really didn’t care very much. It’s reflective of Amey’s professionalism. Your business is going to rightfully die for ignoring your customers.

Order the cab. Watch on your phone to see it dispatched and see it approach. Then watch it on your phone as it stops part way (and presumably picks up someone else) and drives off.  Order another cab. Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat. Walk home. 

Another day, I phoned for a cab and it pulled up. I got in with my packages and it drove off the wrong way.  I mentioned that it was not the right direction and the driver told me the address of my destination to which I replied “that’s not what I said” and he then told me that that was what I had put in the app when I ordered the cab. I told him I didn’t order by the app. He drove me back to my point of origin and told me that my packages and I needed to get out because it was not my cab. I was half out of the cab and reaching for my packages when he told me that in fact the app order had since been cancelled and so he could take me after all so I should get back into the cab. 

Sooo, yah, the whole app thing still needs work.

The app feels like it was created when the first iPhone came out. It’s slow and not very communicative. Having said that, it does it’s job. Booking is relatively painless most of the time. The app lets you book a cab for a specific time but BEWARE — booking a taxi for a predetermined time does not guarantee you a cab at that time... if you book during busy times (e.g. reading week) your cab may be up to 30 minutes late.

### *---- "Don’t Use This App - Use The Phone"
Major problems with app!  Uses GPS but there is a bug so cab goes to the wrong house.  Also, app timing on info about when driver is assigned lags substantially behind what the human dispatcher says.  ‘Had to phone the dispatcher three times to get a cab to my house because the app was spewing out so much incorrect info.

That said, when the cab finally did arrive the driver was courteous and efficient.

This app gives the option of booking for a specific time in advance but does not indicate whether the cab will actually show up at that time. If there are delays you will not be informed. Not reliable, if it were stated anywhere on the app when there will be delays (over 40 min for me) then costumers could alter plans or at least be ready but this option doesn’t exist. When I sent an email I was informed “pre booking your cab doesn’t ensure we will be there at that time” and my concern of informing costumers of this was completely ignored. Better to take the bus because at least you’ll know when it comes.

What is the purpose of this app if you do not hold the taxi for the person who actually orders it. Every time I order one someone jumps in mine and you drive away. And then I get a confirmation email saying you took me home and you give me someone else's receipt. It says my address but it shows that you went somewhere else's. Reserve the taxi under the name of who placed the order online. Only let the person who has the address you are supposed to go to in. It makes zero sense you are missing the point of the app completely.
