In recent months, the app hang and can’t edit for almost 100% of the time.  So frustrated.

I would always recommend using the website for deeper research but this app is really handy especially when visiting archives when you can’t bring in a laptop etc. 
When checking hints, photos are really easy, but checking information is a little more difficult as it’s hard to compare all the data of a record due to screen size etc. I would stick to the website for that. 

Viewing the entire tree is easy and panning around is very user friendly. I would recommend the app for anyone who is a bit obsessed with research! Comprehensive for top layer info but does not reach the depths, but that’s the limitations of an app.

### ***** "Best genealogy app I've used"
So I've decided to start building my family tree as a project, and started browsing for the best way to do so. As of now, this app seems to tick all the boxes. 

Pros:

(1) Data can be updated through the iPhone app as well as using your web browser on your PC. 

(2) Information you update on the phone automatically syncs to your account. As of now I have yet to encounter any syncing issues, which is important as I enter data both on my phone and my laptop. 

(3) I can share the family tree with members of my family. Once they have created an account on ancestry.com, I can give them permission to view the tree, or even edit the tree. 

(4) I can store photos and videos. Haven't tried any videos yet, but with photos, you can actually associate them with events for family members. 

Cons:

(1) I cannot give other members of my family permission to edit ONLY their portion of the tree. They can only either be given permission to edit the whole tree or no permission to edit anything. It would be good it they could be given permission to only selectively edit certain sections of the tree.

(2) If I don’t have access to data connection on my phone, I cannot view my family tree at all. Would be good to have the free available offline, and have any changes made be updated online once I’m able to connect to a data.
