Andante helps you build the habit of practicing every day with motivational features like practice streaks and daily goals.

My name is Miles, and I’m a violinist. I originally started making Andante to help myself with my violin practice, as I found writing down the times and some notes on my practice sessions helped me stay motivated and less stressed. I hope that Andante can help with your practice journey!

The App is easy to use, everything is very clear and simple and intuitive. I could quickly find my way through all the functions. It is confined to the essentials you would need for documenting and tracking your practice. It seems very well thought through. All this means I do not get distracted by the App itself and all my focus can go into practicing! I love it.
This is my first time tracking any practice with an app and I am surprised at how much it boosts motivation.
The pro-version can be paid either via subscription or via one-time payment. I always prefer one-time, thanks for offering this option. I have to say though it seems a bit pricey. But then I can understand that a lot of work went into this. And so far there have been regular updates and improvements.

Recording is possible only via microphone. Ortherwise you can import your audio files done via other apps. I have an e-piano (acoustic piano is rare these days), MIDI recording directly from within the Andante-app would be great.

This app is also very suitable for tracking other practices, like yoga or learning languages.

All your practice sessions including corresponding notes can be exported very easily. Takes a few clicks and some 30 seconds. Then you have a table of all sessions. Especially helpful if you want to see all the session notes at one glance.
The exported table is stored as a .csv file. You can directly open it for viewing with Adobe Reader or with any program that reads tables, e.g. Apple Numbers-App or MS Excel. All very easy, love it.

This app is one the hidden Appstore gems in my opinion. It’s super simple, gorgeous and reliable. You can track your practices through different profiles per instrument f.e. and then look at your habits. I started tracking about a 1 1/4 year ago and just crossed 600 hours. What’s amazing to me is the attention to detail: you can add practice sessions manually, write I journal (which I don’t use tbh) and even record snippets of your session. There is a metronome built in, which is functional although basic. Most importantly, you collect flames like streaks per day practiced. Once you get into the higher 50s you’d rather miss a family dinner than start over. It’s honestly my favourite app. I gladly paid for the premium, although you can use it free as well, just with limited instruments. GREAT!

Das Gute
Ein tolles minimalistisches Design. Motiviert zum Üben. Das Metronom funktioniert super.

Abstriche
Das Stimmgerät könnte einen pitch detector vertragen sowie die Möglichkeit, die Frequenz einzustellen, z.B. auf 443Hz. Gerne würde ich zukünftig auch für das Stimmen diese App benutzen und nicht zu einer anderen wechseln müssen.
Ein paar grundlegende Textformatierungsmöglichkeiten wären schön gewesen.

### ***** "Intuitiv und super praktisch!"
Ich nutze die App seit zwei Tagen und konnte direkt alle Funktionen in meine Überoutine einbauen. Vor allem die Notizen/Aufnahmen-Funktion finde ich hilfreich, weil ich genau aufschreiben und dokumentieren kann, was ich geübt habe und direkt mit der Übesession/Übezeit zusammen stehen habe. Super, um Entwicklungen und Ziele über mehrere Wochen zu checken und zu verfolgen. Auch super, dass man nur einmal für die Pro-Funktion zahlen muss. Hab lange nach so einer App gesucht und bin echt happy über diese hier. Danke!!!

Ich habe mir lange so eine App vorgestellt. Ich studiere Klassische Gitarre und mit der App kann man dein Üben perfekt dokumentieren, Statistiken einsehen und viel mehr. Und alles schön Übersichtlich simple, damit es nicht ablenkt. Nur das Metronom könnte noch umfangreicher sein. (Höheres Tempo, Akzente setzen)
