The precise breathing training app for freedivers, snorkelers and anyone who wants to hold their breath for longer.

Imagine you're snorkelling in the sea on vacation and see big colorful fish underwater at a depth of 6 meters - you want to dive down with a long breath and take unforgettable photos. This is possible with Apnea Trainer. By training three times a week, you can quickly double your underwater time.

The training principle is regularly used by freedivers. It originates from yoga and strengthens the diaphragm muscles so that you can fill your lungs with more oxygen and release more carbon dioxide when you exhale. The intelligent performance index automatically adjusts the training times to your level - you get better without having to do the math yourself.

Three training modes:
- Apnea training - inhale, pause, exhale. Optimal intervals for maximum performance improvement.
- Pranayama - Four-phase breathing for relaxation and preparation directly before snorkeling or freediving.
- Custom Pro - All four phases freely adjustable from 0 to 240 seconds for competitive athletes.

Visual and acoustic instructions (voices and haptics) accompany each phase. No need to think - just train.

Stopwatch & progress:
With the integrated apnea stopwatch, you can measure and save your best breath-hold attempts. Track your best performances in the weekly, monthly or annual chart and share special milestones with friends.

More than 10,000 active users confirm the success: beginners can double their performance within 7 days if Apnea Trainer is used for 3 minutes a day. Advanced athletes are known to experience constant performance leaps of 10 to 20 seconds within 10 days.

I've tried a few apps to help my spearfishing time  underwater the breath up is definitely the most important part I learnt it primarily from this app! 
How long you should breath in, breath out, also how long to pause.
I've never reviewed an app but this one has blown me away with the instantaneous results.

Only just started Apnea training and didn't have a clue. This does all the guess work for you. This is not a gimmick. At the present time this is the only training I do and I have gone from just over a minute to 3.02 minutes static breath hold. Definately give it a go.

No clear explanation of the program and what you are supposed to be doing, when, for how long, how the program progresses, left pretty much in the dark. Unmotivated to carry on currently. I am sure if you know the basis behind it then it would be fine, but if you are expecting this app to explain the program and the methods....it doesn't in an way.

This app is not O2 or CO2 tables. It is a breathing regulation program, very good for controlling breath and relaxing for increasing depth and time as well as  a less stressfulI way of training. If you want tables then use iholdbreath which allows you to practice tables. I use this as a warm up switch app do a table and then switch back. I have found this very effective.

A far more basic app than the info before purchase led me to believe. No CO2/O2 tables at all let alone anything customisable.  Nothing useful in this app and it wouldn't take very much development to add essential features. It can't take that much scripting to work out timers for tables based on your max breath hold.
