Apollo Scooters

At all the app is nice and okay. After the recent update I’m missing the info button on the main view. So I could check more details on the battery / mileage etc. would be nice if you can make a bugfix to the bugfix :D

I can’t use the app to check my battery level without providing precise location data of where I am at all times (even when not using the app) which is linked to my identity and shared with whoever they want or whoever pays the most or whoever hacks them first. The battery indicator on the scooter isn’t reliable and I need to know if I can make it to work and back. Not anymore. But then again, maybe your location is needed just to provide the best user experience??

I tried to set it up and the app shut down and closed before I could even put a pin. When I reopened it - it asked for the pin previously entered except I didn’t have one so I used what I would’ve and I continued to get an error. I thought if I could delete the account and app and start over it would work. However, now I can’t try again because I have to wait a month.

I received my new City Pro. Beautiful in the showroom and test ride was great. Today I received my new scooter and it’s locked to a max speed of about 20km/h as standard. I was instructed to set up the app and make my adjustments. Great. The app crashed after I created an account and security code. Done. Can’t log it. If it’s not fixed in a three business days I am sending it back for a full refund. I notified the dealer and they said yeah the app is a problem. NOT ok.

Highly disappointed new purchase - app will not let you set the max sped over 12. Apollo help has been absolutely useless, and won’t even acknowledge that there’s an issue.

This is what happens when a hardware company tries to do software. Incessant crashing DURING THE ONBOARDING PROCESS. I have spent over an hour trying to add a SCOOTER to the app. ARRrrGGGgHhhH!!!!!

All I use this app for is to check the battery level. Why do I need location? Why does it “share your location with your dispatch team on the web”? This app is terrible from a privacy perspective. I get that this app is still new, but more work is definitely needed.

And for starters, it really bothers me that I had to except the prompt to have the app track me everywhere I go, even when I’m not using the app before I can even sign in. But on top of all that, even after I accepted all of the privacy violations, and attempted to login with my Apollo account, it still did not work. It kept saying my login was invalid, even though I was able to login before the most recent update, did not change my login, and that same login still function perfectly on the web. My wife’s scooter won’t connect to the app at all. I really enjoy my scooter, but the app experience is very disappointing to say the least.

Works fine. I can customize my scooter’s settings (City Pro 22) for regenerative braking and acceleration and top speed as well as lights on or off for night riding. However when it comes to the built in GPS for navigation or ride tracking it can’t load for some reason and I’ve contacted Apollo about this and they said that an update will be coming but does not know when it’ll be released.

The gps never works. The app can’t find my location! 🤦🏻‍♂️
