I have had this for probably a decade now and it has charted my journey across the face of the planet and through roughly 70 countries with nothing short of splendid excellence and terrifying wonder. Get it if only for the memories it will provide to you in the years to come.
I think that it’s be good to manually add geofences for home and work so that when I’m there it isn’t tracking and saving battery. I don’t know if it does this behind the scenes already.
I’ve had Fog of World for years and absolutely loved it. Wish I had had it for earlier travels. There where some big changes with the last update and I didn’t have a chance to have a good look at it, because two days later my Fog of World screen just went grey. No menus, no maps, no anything. Can anyone please help me with this?
I wish it would show your current direction and that you could rotate the map. Those two features would make it easier to find and pass through sections of fog in areas you are trying to clear (I know I’m not the only one who tries to clear entire neighbourhoods)
An interesting game that allows you to think about the world and your path through it in a new way… encourages a player to explore their environment and the world. Although it can reduce the battery life substantially it also does not require much effort to play… just remember to “back up” - I forgot and because of that “lost” a huge amount of distance in a different country. However, this also gave me the opportunity to look at the idea of permanence and how my journey leaves (or does not leave) marks on the environment and the people I meet along the way.
Love the app but has been crashing consistently in the background and notifying my every few minutes
Great app. Battery use was a problem in the past but with my 6s it isn't a problem. **2021 update** Still love and use the app. My only complaint is that I’m finding myself more and more exploring with only my watch and leaving the phone at home. A watch version of the app would be fantastic!”
Several members in the family have this app and we all wish we were born with it! Love it and have it on all the time. It’s great for back tracking where you have been all over the world! We show lots of people this amazing app!

Ok so hear me out. This app is cool. Better than all the ripoffs. The imitators never quite beat the real app. This app is a good app. End rant.
